Re: got the crossfading to go out over the air, but no vocals.

2005-09-10 Thread Chris Skarstad
hi Byron
Ok, the word vocals, is what tripped me up a bit. In the radio biz, they
refer to when you speak as a voice break.
Vocals are when someone sings in a song.
But anyways, try setting the sam encoders to point to your sound card,
rather than the audio pipeline.

RE: Sound Forge 8 and Precise Editing

2005-09-10 Thread Nolan Crabb
Hi, Jim,

You suggested I use the arrow keys up and down without the shift to narrow
the selections. That works great, as long as Im' not actually selecting
anything. It doesn't help with the shift-left arrow or shift-right arrow
selections. They're still too big, even with one tap of the right arrow and
shift combination, for example.

Your solution used to work great in Sound Forge 5, but this one seems to not
be affected by that.

RE: DVD Questions

2005-09-10 Thread Nektarios Mallas
Hello there!
The bin file there is the image of the dvd disk. If the file is about
4.5 gb then you can burn it directly to a blank dvd. There are many ways
to do this.
You can use d-tools which is a little program that adds a virtual drive
on your computer. You can mount the bin image file and then use nero
with regular dvd copy procedures to copy directly to the blank disk. You
can also use dvd decryptor if you want to rip the virtual dvd on a
folder on your hard drive. This is useful especially if the file is more
than 5 gb, in which case you need dvd shrink to compress it to fit on a
disk.
If you need more information and useful software, go to:
http://www.doom9.org
Dvd shrink is quite accessible if you know your screen reader well,
which I know you do! D-tools is accessible also as is dvd decryptor.
If you need more assistance let me know.

Regards.
Nektarios.

Hi Angel.

Hope the following notes may be of some use to you.

10.. You can change the default folder where CDEX will output your ripped

tracks by making the following changes:

A.. Press F4 to enter the settings dialogue

B.. Press shift and tab and then left arrow until you reach the

filenames tab

C.. Press tab until you reach the WAVMP3 control

D.. Press enter to open a browse folders dialogue.

E.. Select the folder where you'd like CDEX to place your ripped tracks

and open the folder by pressing the right arrow key

F.. Press tab until you reach OK and press enter to confirm the choice

of output folder

G.. Press tab until you reach OK and press enter to confirm your changes

11.. You can change the format of the track names and the folders that

CDEX will create when ripping by making the following changes:

A.. Press F4 to enter the settings dialogue

B.. Press shift and tab and then left arrow until you reach the

filenames tab

C.. Tab once to the output file format and directories edit field. If

you are confident with the naming conventions, you can edit your preferences

directly into this field. Otherwise, tab once more and press the output

file format and directories button. Use your JAWS or screen review cursor

to read the options available. In brief, the main options of interest are:

%1 Artist information

%2 Album information

%3 Track number

%4 Track name

%5 CD Volume ID

%6 CDDB ID

%7 Track number with leading zero

The \ character will create a subfolder. For example, if placed between %1

and %2, the CD album titles will be output in a subfolder under the artist

name.

D.. Tab to the ok button and press enter to confirm the new settings.

I believe it was something to do with the accessibility options or
configuring the player for visually impaired.
I believe there might be a pop-up blocker one can use that can get rid of
 the ads.
After playing around for a while in this area, I no longer seem to
 see-(hear) the advertisements.

 Subject: Configuring Real Player 10.5

I'm having a problem I haven't had before: I'm not able to configure Real
Player 10.5, which I've just now updated. I can't get rid of the Real
Player advertisements, and I can't set the media types I want RP to play,
 with either JAWS or WE.

accessible DVD software,

2005-09-10 Thread Joe Paton
Good Morning folks,

I'd like to know, which dvd playing software folks are having most success
with, accessing it with screen readers? doesn't matter which screen
reader, question is access to the dvd software.

You can write me off list if you'd rather not clutter it up here.

best,

Joe
