Re: where can I get this software?

2005-10-17 Thread Tyler Wood
If you have windows meedia player, your all set. I haven't used it in
awhile, though.

Also there might be just your regular drive::

1. go to my computer>your cd drive.
2. A folder should come up. Copy and paist the files into this folder.
3. When you are done, press alt+f, and aro until you hear "write these files
to cd."
4. Make a name for the cd, and press next.
5. Select a data cd and tab until you hear finish.

That is how mine was when I first got it.

best,
Tyler

something got changed in sound forge

2005-10-17 Thread russell Bourgoin
Hi Listers,

I must have pressed some toggle key, but, when I had a file
loaded in sound forge 8, I could route my mouse to the bottom of the
screen and then go up with the 8 key, a line at a time. I'd see the
file info, name, length, et on the first line, and up one more I used
to see numbers like -2 or -0 but, at any rate indications of the
volume. Now it just says pc instead of the number. What could I have toggled?

RE: An Accessible Broadcasting Program

2005-10-17 Thread Jonathan Mosen
A number of commercial stations here in the US do in fact use
StationPlaylist Studio and Creator. It's a full broadcast suite and is very
much up to the task of commercial radio.

Someone should demonstrate how that voicetrack thing it is said to have
works. Since it can do so much, wonder why commercial stations don't use it,

but maybe I'm wrong there and some do? I suppose fancy things like hourly
news is hard to know when to move on in the playlist and so forth, but
commercials probably could be scheduled in.

RE: An Accessible Broadcasting Program

2005-10-17 Thread Tom
Shane,

On the Station Playlist website they have a nice comparison
between the two versions. They list the feature then yes and
no as to whether it is available or not. Naturally, for the
pro version all the features say yes.

Re: Need Help with CDEx and ASPI Drivers

2005-10-17 Thread Bobcat
A while ago, people were saying the latest Adaptec aspi drivers didn't work
with CDEX in some configurations. It was suggested that you get aspi
drivers from Nero.

Go to the CDEX user forums and look for aspi.

Re: where can I get this software?

2005-10-17 Thread Tyler Wood
Hi Ken,

This is exactly what i meant:

1. Go to your desktop.
2. Go to my computer. (press enter.)
3. Go to (this is mine) dvd/cd-RW drive (d).
4. Press enter.
5. A folder will come up. Copy (or cut) the files from another music storage
place on your computer onto this folder (paiste).
6. When you are done this process (it should be around 100-200 or more
songs), press alt+F.
7. Aro down until you hear, "write these files to cd."
8. At this screen, type in your 'cd name', and everything else you see fit.
9. Press tab until you hear next.
10. Choose the radio button with the aro keys that says, "create a data cd."
11. Tab until you hear finish. During the burning process, you can use the
jaws cursor (if not using jaws, use the cursor that reads the entire
screen.)
It should tell you the estimated time remaining. Oh yes I almost forgot.
When in my computer, highlight your cd drive. Press applications, and aro to
properties. From there, you should be able to choose the burning speed. (I
usually use 8, 16, 36x). The lower the speed, the higher the quolity, and
the more likely your burn will be sucessful.

By the way, I don't think think you were ignorant; I don't mind giving a
little more advice because I think, however, that I was kind of bland on
that note...

Well, tell me if that was a good enough "instruction manual."

best,
Tyler

Hey my friend; Tyler; I now think I can manipulate these old keys to
respondfor my objective to be successful in burning a disk with mp3 stuff
in it. Tell me, Ty; Can I burn these mp3s folder by folder? In other
words, can I stop the burning folder after folder or do I somehow get
about 180 selections lined up before burning all at once? Ken B

extracting audio from .mpg video TV recordings

2005-10-17 Thread Brent Harding
Hi! Is there a good program to extract the audio from .mpg files I record
off my TV tuner card? It seems stupid to store so many gigs of video that I
can't use the visual part of. The idea is I would like to run these files
through a program and get mp3 or wav or whatever they come out in so the
video part can be deleted to save space.
Thanks.

The following program is only $15.00 US. ReadmeSoft Extract Audio Converter
is a speech friendly video to audio converting tools. You
can use it to convert avi / mpeg / wmv / asf / mov / wma to mp3 / wav file

It is an extremely easy-to-use tool to extract audio from AVI, WMV, ASF,
MPEG
and MOV files to MP3, WAV. You can extract audio from
your video files to MP3s so you can listen them with your mp3 player. And
you can also extract audio from video files to CD quality WAV files for
burning your own audio CD .

HOW TO USE THIS TOOLS

1. Run it.

2. Select Input Video File

3. Select or input output audio file

4. Select the correct Frequency / Channels / BitRate

5. Click "Extract Audio Track" , start to extract

Re: where can I get this software?

2005-10-17 Thread Chris Skarstad
Hi Ken
You do it all at once. In other words you put all the files you want on the
cd, then burn it.
You can typically get about a hundred songs on a mp3 cd though. so go for a
hundred rather than 180.
