Re: Satellite Radio

2005-11-05 Thread Chuck Adkins
I have them both. I have a device from Sirius and the XMPCR from XM, and am
spoiled with that because I can read all the XM text. I started with XM, but
got Sirius for the college sports after Real Player was dropped by College
Sports TV. I have dropped the Real Player college sports stuff, infact I
dropped all the Real player stuff, wasn't using it. I found the Sirius
quality the best until a few days ago. It seems that the XM quality audio
wise has improved. If I could only afford one, I would stick with XM because
of their wider choice of music. XM now has the NHL and will be the exclusive
distributor of the NHL in 2007.Both have their strong points but if I could
only have one I would have XM.

Chuck

Re: Satellite Radio

2005-11-05 Thread Chris Skarstad
Hi. If you really are leaning toward Sirius, wait for the S50 to be
released sometime soon.
Not sure of the accessibility of the thing, but the word is that it's
supposed to allow you to record up to 50 hours of content. To me, XM radio
is a much better service, but it's all in what you want.
If you like Major League Baseball, Opie and Anthony and a wide selection of
music and talk, xm is your service. If you like the NFL and more of the
popular tunes, and Howard Stern coming in January, then you want Sirius.

Hello! open up the total recorder program. then tab thru the buttons until
you see one that reads recording source and parameters. Select this option.
Then a new list of buttons will come up. You can tab thru these until you
reach one that reads recording parameters change button. Select this option.
This is where you tab along to change the options you are asking about.

Media Servers

2005-11-05 Thread Jardata_Mail_Services
Hello Guys:

I currently have a Shoutcast Server and a Shoutcast Plug-in that I use with
Winamp to broadcast my internet radio station through. I would also like to
purchase (or just find) a Windows Media Server and/or plub-in that I can use to
broadcast over the internet. I know there is a Windows Media Server, but I
cannot find out how to get one. If someone could give me such a link to
download one (free or otherwise), I'd be grateful.

I am also interested in finding an Icecast server as well.

Hope someone can help me.

Thanks.

Hi all

I have been trying to access BBC Five Live Sports for the last hour or so

Is this station perhaps only available for listeners in the UK?

When I tried the real player link, it connects up but there is no sound.
