winamp music question

2006-10-22 Thread Terra Syslo
I am having trouble when I go into the winamp library and try to play songs
under the winamp music. I click on a song and it plays the short video clip
advertisement thing but the song won't play. I have winamp set to play almost
all file types including .wmv files. Does anyone know how I can get the songs
to play? They used to never have the video clips before the songs and they
would play fine, but now in the later versions I can't get them to play.

Major audio grabber problem

2006-10-22 Thread Jed Barton
OK guys, I found how to select the mp3 encoder, but having amajor problem
with audio grabber, and I can't figure out why, cause it seems to run OK.
What's happening, I go in and select the directory and tracks that I want to
rip.
Then I click on grab. It literally takes about 2 to 5 seconds, then brings
me back to the list of tracks. If I go in to the directory, it'll show an
mp3. However, the average size is 300K.
It of course is not the complete file, and in fact winamp can't play it.
The only way to seem to correct this issue is to re-install audio grabber,
than it acts normally.
Needless to say to have to re-install after every CD is not acceptable, any
ideas?
It almost seems like something is corrupt.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jed

Hello,

Is it possible to combine tracks in this program or otherwise eliminate
the gaps (not silences) between tracks? Any help would be greatly

Winamp problem

2006-10-22 Thread Morey Worthington
Hello all,
Using Winamp 5.13.
When a person sends me a sound file, be it .wav, or mp3, when I open up the
attachment Winamp tries to open it, but I then get a error message about
Winamp wanting to send in a malfunction report to its leaders.
I sent it in once.

I then went back to the message , opened the attachment, saved it to a
folder in My Documents,, went there and clicked on it and Winamp opened it
just fine.
Any thoughts on why opening it while in E-Mail message will not work?
Thanks,
Morey

Re: PlexTalk ptr1 review

2006-10-22 Thread Michael Lang
Hello Sky,

Glad you liked my review. I always record my reviews with the PTR1 or
PTR2. Their overwrite mode is really wonderful, overwriting mistakes is
easier than on tape recorders. Because one can record onto flash cards,
there are no noise problems, which one can have when recording onto a PC
directly. I then use SoundForge for making final cuts, normalizing etc.

Easy CDDA Extractor (Free or Pay)

2006-10-22 Thread Jardata_Mail_Services
Hello List!

I have owned Poikosoft's Easy CDDA Extractor for years and many versions. I
recently checked the Poikosoft Site to download and get a key for their latest
version; however, I cannot seem to be able to get it going. Previously, I
could enter my email address and a key would be emailed to me. Now, when I
enter my email address, I get a page asking or telling me to purchase the
latest version of the program. I think it has OG Vorbis features and we must
purchase a license to use this feature. I also saw another price of $29.95 for
a full program and $14.95 for the OG license.

Can someone tell me what is going on. Do I get the program free as before or
do I have to pay for a new license and the Og license to get free future
uploads. I am not sure of what to do.

It still offers free upgrades, but now I am not sure.

Re: Digital Recorder

Keith, I know the PMD670, which has the same keys than the 671. With the
671, you can record in 24 Bit and charge AA batteries internally, but
the handling is identical. What would you like to record with the 671?
In my opinion, the Plextalk PTR2 is much better in most cases, because
it talks. The 671 could be used, if you really need XLR input sockets or
if you have to record 24 Bit PCm Wave.

Re: Is there such a thing as a blind friendlyplayerthatplaysbothRAXand Wma/drm files?

2006-10-22 Thread Gary G Schindler
for the most part, the Muvo players with the voice recorders are inaccessible
as
far as the menus are concerned. a scroller wheel is used to access and select
the
different menus, but the menus never stay the same when you use the wheel to
change anything. I had a sighted person confirm this for me.
