Will the cleaning CD work on a DVD drive as well or do you need a

accessible tv tuning software with jaws

2007-02-03 Thread joanne
Hope someone can help. I had a TV card but it no longer works, so am
needing to start over. I would like to buy software that is accessible with
Jaws for watching my cable channels on the computer. If possible I'd like
to be able to just download this software from the Net and then back it up
myself. Does anyone have any good ideas for a TV tuner? Thanks.

tv tuning software that works with jaws

2007-02-03 Thread joanne
First of all, I'll apologize ahead of time if this message comes through 3
times, but I have been having trouble sending mail to this group. So hoping
this one works and that you won't have to deal with a couple duplicates.

I am looking for accessible TV tuning software so I can watch TV on my
computer. My old ATI software is no longer working and unfortunately we
don't know where original disc is; plus I've had a lot of trouble with it
giving me error messages on startup. Does anyone know of a good TV tuning
package, and if possible could this be downloaded from the Net so I could
get it right away? Thanks.

Re: Phonostar.

2007-02-03 Thread Steve Pattison
There is an English version of Phonostar available from
www.phonostar.com. The English version is in the same file as the
German installation file. I tried Phonostar and while it looked like
a very good program unfortunately it was very inaccessible when used
with Window-Eyes so I uninstalled it and gave up trying to use Phonostar.

Easy CD DA Extractor version 10.0.5 is now available and one place
where you can download it from is at www.poikosoft.com. Here are the
changes in this version:

IMPORTANT UPDATE (!):
V10.0.4 had a bug that caused extremely high CPU usage. V10.0.5
does not have this
problem.
Codec Update:
FLAC 1.1.3 encoder and decoder with official Cover Art support
including backwards
compatibility to read FLAC 1.1.2 cover arts.
Codec Update:
Coding Technologies AAC and aacPlus encoder v8.0.3.
Codec Update:
New MP3 decoder with better error tolerance (does not crash on
corrupt MP3 files)
Bugfix:
A bug in reading the local disc database fixed. Long extended disc
information field
(>4096 characters) caused a crash when reading the data.
Bugfix: A bug in Cue Sheet (.cue) reading fixed.
Bugfix:
Ambersand (&) in freedb entries menu correctly handled (E.g. "Guns &
Roses" was shown
as "Guns Roses" - now correctly displayed.

e z c d d ay extracter

2007-02-03 Thread Roger R. Cusson
with version 10.5 and i am not sure of any previous versions as i just
jumped on the e z c d d ay band wagon -- in 10.5, once i select my cd-rom
and it finally queries the c d d b
database, i can tab through and hear artist name, album title and year and
genre.

as my friend who has 9.2 tells me, i should be able to hear when tabbing a
few more times, a list of all the tracks and their associated titles and can
even press the space bar to select slash dee-select the associated tracks.

well in 10.5, it is a grid view acording to the jaws window re-class
utility. i have classed that grid view window 30 different ways and still no
joy.

one can click using the jaws cursor on the listing and if that happens then
one is trapped in side of some edit boxes that only populate with the title
of the song, once one clicks on the title header. so, i guess my question
is -- has any one using 10.5 had troubles with reading track titles
