Re: Quicktime revisited success

2007-05-19 Thread patricknc

Speaking of Quicktime, is there a good way to play .mov files? I haven't
found Quicktime to be very accessible and I have some .mov files I'd like to
play. If there is some accessibility to Quicktime, how do I find it?

Geoff,
Berried in the e-mail that I sent you is a contact address where you should
be able to get some technical support. I also found a 4 page PDF manual

Re: Behringer B-2 microphone help

2007-05-19 Thread Tom
Geoff,

Below is some information on the B2 microphone. I'd think by
experimenting you would be able to figure out which switches
gives you the cardioid, omnidirectional or figure-eight
patterns. The low-cut filter and the 10 dB pad should be
evident too by listening to yourself or someone else speaking
into the microphone.

Tom

DUAL DIAPHRAGM MULTI-PATTERN CONDENSER MIC
The B-2 PRO by Behringer is a multi-pattern, dual-diaphragm
studio condenser microphone with uncompromising audio
performance and transparency at a great price. The B-2 PRO
has selectable cardioid, omnidirectional or figure-eight
patterns and delivers the performance of microphones many
times its price. It has a slightly-pronounced 12 kHz range,
producing presence that eliminates the need for
high-frequency EQing.

Features:
low-cut filter; built-in shielding that minimizes
high-frequency interference; 10 dB pad; 20 Hz-20 kHz
frequency response; requires 48V phantom power. Comes with a
hard case, suspension mount and windscreen.

Sure, try quicktime alternative.

It comes with QT codecs and plays them in Media player classic. Which it

Re: Making CD

2007-05-19 Thread John Price
High garry,
I don't know about Nero 7, but I know that Windows Media Player-10 will, If
you set your cdr/rw drive to it's highest setting, it will burn a cd for you
in less then 2 minits.
One thing you may want to watch out for is this.
When your cdr/rw drive is at it's highest setting, somtimes it makes
mistakes.
Try this and see if it works for you.
Good luck with it now.

BTW, how does one get a folder or CD to play, all the way through, in

"auto Play" or whatever it is called! When a folder is called up, in Win

John, Express Burn is not shareware, it is freeware. Some of their other

High Mac,
In Windows Media 10 or 11,you can do a control-A to select them all.
Right after that is done, just press inter an then the hole cd will play all

Post processing and Sound FOrge

2007-05-19 Thread Tony Swartz
I'm wondering whether there would be enough interest among those who are
proficient in both post production techniques and the use of Sound Forge to
serve as a discussion panel in one of the talking community rooms.

What I was thinking as an example, was for a panel of two or three
individuals to plan several one hour to ninety minute sessions to in general
discuss post production techniques and how these techniques are handled in
Sound Forge as a blind user of the product. The final third of each session
could then be opened up to audience questions.

If several volunteers would agree to serve as a panel, I'd be willing to
approach Talking Communities.

Thanks,
Tony B. Swartz

Re: Making CD

2007-05-19 Thread Mac Norins
Thanks, John! I will try that; it seems so simple, that there should be
something like that, either in the guide, that I spoke about, or in the Help
function, but, alas, there is not, to my limited knowledge!

High Mac,
In Windows Media 10 or 11,you can do a control-A to select them all.
Right after that is done, just press inter an then the hole cd will play all
the way threw.
That's what's seems to work for me.

Hi Vicky,

You didn't say what screen reader you are using but the library is
still difficult to use with Window-Eyes.

Regards Steve.

Hi Toney, I wouldn't know enough to be a presenter, but I would definitely
be interested in joining or listening to presenters!

Please keep me informed, if this works out.

Thanks very much.
