ADS Tech Instant FM Music

2007-06-18 Thread Jani Kinnunen
Hi,

Does someone have experiences on using the ADS Tech Instant FM Music device?
Does the Instant Radio application that comes with it work with JAWS? Here's
a web page that describes the device:
http://www.adstech.com/products/RDX-155-EF/intro/RDX-155-EF_intro.asp?pid=RDX-155-EF

If that's inaccessible, could someone then recommend any reasonably
accessible alternatives that would do the same things?

Re: Creative Zen V Plus

2007-06-18 Thread Kevin Lloyd
Once you've installed the creative zen software for the 20 Gig model and
probably the other hard drive models, you don't actually use it again. You
simply start windows explorer or My Computer and browse to the Creative Zen
folder. Pressing enter will open the folder and allow you to use standard
copy and paste keyboard commands to add or remove music from your player.

Re: Nero question

2007-06-18 Thread Marijan Janev
Don, why don't you use poweriso for that purpose?

Donald L. Roberts said the following on 18.06.2007 07:11:
 Hello,

I have one desktop running Nero 5 and another running Nero 6. The
operating system for each is XP home.

I cannot figure out in either Nero 5 or in Nero 6 how to make an iso
image of a cd. I can do the reverse; that is, I can burn a cd from an
iso image, but I need to know how to create an iso image from a cd.
Although I doubt that it matters, it is a home brew music cd. So there
 is no copyright issue.

 Thanks for ideas.

RE: Creative Zen V Plus

2007-06-18 Thread Walter Ramage
Hi Kevin. I have a 20g Creative player, the same as yours but without the
FM radio. I agree that it acts as a drive once you install the software.
However when I connect the player it appears as a drive, named Creative.
I find that all I need do is to copy and paste my MP3 files into this folder
but if I wish to rename a file or delete a file I must go into the Nomad
explorer folder to do this. I don't know why this should be the case but it
is a pain. While I'm on the subject about Creative Zen players. I have
only possessed one, the one I have but would highly recommend them both for
sound quality and build quality. This player I have is large but so well
built. It is metal bodied and is very sturdy and engenders confidence in
it. The only criticism I have is the rechargeable battery is not
replaceable and once it dies, so does the player. Walter.

Jim. Looks like NCIX and are the only LTB dealers in Canada. NCIX doesn't
have the Q-Bean yet. The Q-bean won't be available till the fourth week in

RE: Q-BEAN-U 2.4GHz Wireless headphone

2007-06-18 Thread Jim Noseworthy
Hi:

Thanks for your response.

There is a q Bean-st and a q Bean-U.

The ST is for connection to a standard music stereo system whereas the U is
for a connection to a computer and includes microphone. If I'm understanding
correctly, one can also use a standard headset in the U version.

Cheers.

Re: Wireless headphones with microphone

2007-06-18 Thread Jerry Richer
There are two systems. One consists of a small device you can wear
around your neck. It has a built-in microphone and a jack for stereo
ear-buds or whatever. It comes with ear buds. The price is $119.
The other is a more conventional headset / microphone combination for
high quality music listening as well as communicating. The headphones have
built-in sub woofers. The price is $149.
They are both wireless up to 100 feet. They recharge by plugging them
into a USB port.

RE: Wireless headphones with microphone

2007-06-18 Thread Jim Noseworthy
Jerry:

What are the phones like in the $149.00 model? Are they closed or open ear?

Can the $119.00 support an external mick as well as headphones?

Assuming one already has high quality headphones, would better results be
gained by utalizing functionality of the $119 version?

Thanks all over the place.

Basic Script for Easy CD-DA Extractor

2007-06-18 Thread Bruce Toews
Jim Grimsby has written a basic script and configuration file for Easy
CD-DA Extractor 10.2. In the CD ripper dialog, this combination will now
speak some of the edit field labels, and it will also track the list of
tracks on the CD correctly.

I do not support these scripts. If you wish support, please e-mail Jim
directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unpack this zip file in your usual
script directory. Be sure to compile the script file.

Download this script from:

http://bt.shellworld.net/jfweasycdda.zip

Enjoy. This script works for version 10.2, I cannot speak for earlier
versions. Can anyone using Window-Eyes or any of the other screen readers
tell me if the track list tracks properly without modification, please?
