Re: Describe Video Service

2007-06-24 Thread Christopher Chaltain
Well, this is probably getting off topic, and there are probably other
mailing lists where politics could be discussed to death, but I'll go
ahead and make two contributions to this discussion anyway.

First, the statement Simple, really. If either organization for the
blind down there were to get such a law to pass, the other would shoot
it down. is an overly simplistic statement and is made with nothing to
back it up. I'm sure if the details were looked at, it would be obvious
that there's more to this than just the organizations of the blind being
contrary.

Second, the statement ... we can't make any progress in getting things
done, because our blind population can't agree on any solutions! is
also equally simplistic and denies the fact that the blind population is
a subset of the overall population. Sure, I'd like to believe that the
blind are just plain better than everyone else, we're more altruistic,
smarter, quicker to set aside our differences, and so on, but just as
the population in general doesn't always agree on everything, even when
the common good is being debated, it's naive to think the blind
population will be any different.

Gary Wood wrote:

Absolutely there would be copyright issues. Whether people choose to
ignore those copyright issues is their personal choice, but there's no
denying that the copyright issues do exist.

Problem Roling Back To WMP10

2007-06-24 Thread John Price
Hello List Members,
I am having a real big problem rolling back to Windows Media Player 10.
Microsoft some how snuck Windows Media Player 11 in on me, but I do not wish to
use it.
The last time I did, I found Windows Media Player 11 a pain to use to burn
audio cds.
Windows Media Player 10 is a hole lot easier to use then Windows Media Player
11 for this perpice.
For some unknown reason, it won't let me uninstall it.
And when I try to reinstall Windows Media Player 10, I get a message that says,
this media player is not compatible with this virgin of windows.
I don't understand that, I am running Windows XP Service Pack 2 Home Addition.
Could anyone give me some pointers on how to fix this problem?

Hi John,
go to updates in the ctrl, and click on it,
then you will be able to get to Win11.
Click remove, and it will ask if you want to roll back to series9, click
yes.
Then you will be able to install Win10.
