CallBurner and SkyLook: What's the difference: Do I need SkyLook if I already Have CallBurner installed
Hello list! I have CallBurner on my system and use it with Skype. Now, I get an advertisement for me to buy SkyLook to use with MS Outlook (I assume 2003 or 2007). Now I originally thought SkyLook could be used in conjunction with Skype, as well as MS Outlook, and that CallBurner was just an accessible alternative. Can Skylook be used to record Skype calls too? Does it do more than Callburner. Now the advertisement say to download and install Callburner if you don't have MS Outlook; Are the two programs interchangeable: can you use either one or both at the same time; would one override the other if installed on same machine? If I have callBurner already, would I have to buy a new copy of Skylook if I wanted it too? I'm considering which one to install on my notebooks or both. Hope someone can give me an idea of what I should do; By the way, how much would it cost me to get additional CallBurner Licenses on my new notebooks; the same question with SkyLook? Lot at once, but I hope someone can shed light on my questions. Thanks for your info and help. confusion about itunes
Hi everyone, I have heard folks say that itunes is relatively inaccessible but am not entirely sure what that means. Does itunes refer to a player, a proprietary format, a product for download or what? Specifically, can I play downloaded content from the itunes store without installation of the itunes program/player on my PC and/or an ipodder, and is the process for selecting/purchasing this content relatively accessible? I was on Brian hartgen's webpage last night in hopes of getting some clarification regarding the status of the Itunes scripts i'd heard about but found that this confused rather than clarified the matter for me. Basically my interest in using itunes is to explore certain podcasts, TV shows and audiobooks that may not be available elsewhere for download to my computer or a portable HD which i anticipate purchasing in the near future. i would appreciate any useful information and/or experiences on any of this. Thanks in advance for allowing me to admit my embarrassing ignorance on the subject, smile. Re: confusion about itunes
Itunes is a complete music manager, Play MP3's, buy music over the Internet, subcribe, download and manage podcasts etc. Is it accessible? Depends on who you talk to I guess. If you own a Mac then the answer is a definate yes. Having said that though, I'm aware of many users who use Windows who access the software without (it seems) too much trouble, I guess its the old saying, if you want to access something and you sit down for 3 minutes to have a look at what you're trying to access then its likely that you'll find some way around the problem. I got my old Sony MZB-100 out to record a bunch of Coyotes I found. I had checked it out and it worked fine. This morning when I left to find the Coyotes it was 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Eventually the Coyotes start singing and I took out the recorder. The record button would stay down but it wouldn't record anything. After I got home and let it warm up it worked fine. I put it outside to let it cool down to 50 Fahrenheit or so and it wouldn't record again. Now that it's warmed up it works fine. Have you ever noticed this in this machine? Thanks Bob. I do know that cold weather can effect batteries but 38 Fahrenheit doesn't seem hardly cold enough. Re: confusion about itunes
Dain, Yes, I would expect that it would be more usable for Mac users, lol, considering how it was developed in the first place. i've heard one demo with the new Apple voiceover interface and can see that it might be doable if i had a Mac, but so far I can't even figure out the installation, much less anything else. From what I gleaned from Brian's website, I'm not even sure whether he is still working on the scripts. He indicated that it should be possible to import podcast feeds to Juice, and since the itunes store sounds to be only partially accessible I see little reason to fight with a program that is likely to be more frustrating than not, see other message. John, Thanks for trying to help. i'm not sure exactly how to find the URL or the link with the source code or XML or whatever it is. in looking down the page, the latest messages don't show these. The first I could find was export/Pe2bc2de3325e202c5b8393134420b226ZVB4RFREY2V3 is that what it should look like? I'm having trouble searching out these podcasts in any of the directories, so am not quite sure what i'm doing wrong. if you'd be willing to go to www.liquidchurch.com and look under the link for recent messages, I think my question would make a bit more sense. i think I understand the concept and have a feeling that if i can get this one added i'll actually understand how this is done. Again, thanks very much for the help. Hello once again Susan, I checked it out, it looks like they haven't updated their podcast cense Febuary of this year. No My Sister in Christ, you aren't doing anything wrong. The only suggestion that I could give you, is to wright Passter Tim via email and ask him what's happening with the new messages. I am so sorry that I couldn't be anymore help to you then this. The site i am looking at is www.liquidchurch.com which offered .mp3 downloads of the pastor's homilies to 2007, but which now seems to only offer the downloads and/or live stream either through itunes or some other web-based player. This podcast does not seem to be part of the Replay-AV database and I am too new to Juice, (having just downloaded it) to know how to search its entire directory and the specifics involved in adding a podcast. Can anyone advise me of the most straightforward way to subscribe to the podcast feed with either of these programs? i will probably write to the web developers to see whether or not they can continue to add the .mp3 feeds with the newer content but was hoping to solve the problem on my own. Needless to say, I don't see access via itunes as remotely possible without sighted help and/or money I do not have spent on scripts which may or may not work well. Hope I have been clear in conveying what I want to accomplish. Many thanks as always for any suggestions. susan Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- No virus found in this incoming message. Some Goldwave questions.
Hi, I'm just learning Goldwave, and trying some experiements that I couldn't find on the for the people tutorials, so far. OI am trying to record a radio station online, disabling the mic. and using my sound card. I have noticed that once you begin recording, the controls for paus, stop and start do not function as they do when speaking into the microphone. There doesn't seem to be any way to pause a recording, for instance through a commercial. Everything seems to record until I exit the program and I am asked if I want to save the changes to a particular file? So, am I doing something wrong? Thanks. Re: How does one Cross-fade in Winamp 5.x
Ok here goes I'll try to be concise. When you go to the output plugins and configure your current plugin whether it be waveout.dll or directsound. There is a tab control for fading. There is an edit box to set fade lenth and all of that. There are also five things that can be checked or unchecked. Fade on stop, fade on start, fade on seek, ETC. You might also have to set your buffer lenth in the buffer tab I'm not sure about this part but I'm sure someone can correct me. I know that is not step-by-step but if you need more help I have no problem having an msn chat or offlist emailing. Another quick note, the sqr plugin is great but I found it to be buggy sometimes especially when playing more than one format in a playlist. hope this helps bb Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
