Re: Nero 7 Question

2007-09-20 Thread Tim Grady
Well, I'm not at my Windows machine right now or I'd tell you exactly
how to find the burner component, but it's something like this. Hit
your windows key. Hit p until you get to the programs menu. If you
land on the inside of the nenu hit n until you hear Nero, otherwise
if you land on program menu hit right arror and then the n key until
you hear nero. Inside the nero menu are submenus with names like
Audio, Data and sutch. Go in to audio or data and look for Nero
Burning ROM.

Re: Nero 7 Question

2007-09-20 Thread Tim Grady
Well, the first thing you should know is that when you burn an
audible book to CD you do it in Audible Manager and let the Manager
deal with Nero. Just choose the CD burner as your audible device,
select the book, hit your context key and choose burn to cd. If you
haven't activated the burner yet you have to do that before you will
be allowed to burn books.

RE: How does one Cross-fade in Winamp 5.x

2007-09-20 Thread Rick Alfaro
Brett,

Bingo!

That last explanation did the trick. I actually have it cross fading now.
The only thing I have to figure out is why occasionally it doesn't do it.
Doing it this was has the advantage of still being able to use the alternate
volume control so one can control the volume of the music separately from
that of a software synth. Thanks for the assistance.

Ok let me see if I can clear this up. In the fading tab there are several
options for fading. These are like checkboxes, you can check and uncheck as
many as you want. The crossfading happens when you have (i believe) fade on
start and fade on and check fade on end of song. At that point you have to
find the fade length that works for you. Yes we are talking about the same
feature. I used sqr for a few years but I started getting frustrated because

it would crash with certain DSP plugins.
You also might want to try typing in google something like "how to crossfade

in winamp" I have found some of my best technical support from just a google

box
Hope this helps.
if this is still unclear, I have no problem msn chatting.
take care

I think it's the Nero Express portion of the package. In the download

First, how do I find the CD burning element of the program? Second, is

Youcan use the direct sound out pluggin to crossfaid but i have not played with
that yet.

SA&G

: Brett,
:
: I have seen the parameters for the Fading tab but I don't see

: accomplished in this dialog so either I am missing something or our
: definitions of cross fade are different. If what I am describing as
: a cross fade can be accomplished there I sure would like to know what
: step I am missing. I can get a fade out with no problem but the
: other half of the equation is missing for me. If I am being dense,
: then perhaps an MSN chat is in order. (smile)
:
: I haven't had any trouble with the SQL plug-in so far, but just about
: everything I have is in either mp3 or Flak. Nevertheless, if this is
: possible without the need of a plug-in, I would prefer to go that
: route. Thanks for your assistance...

The sad reality is that the FCC is so hyperfocused on regulating content as
opposed to license issues that they blow smoke and not much more. But, if
you use a phrase they deem innapropriate you can expect the b;ack
helicopters to be circling very soon.

The FCC has a tendency to use a lot of scare tactics. Did they ever do
anything about the Sirius radios that had the FM transmitter that they
claimed to broadcast well beyond the regulated coverage area? I think that I

may have one of those radios, as the built in FM transmitter has a very
strong signal that can be picked up around most of my crescent. . .

I paid about $340 including the addition of a volume control and the
buttons
for on/off, and station selector plus about $30 for shipping. Of
 course
shipping will vary based on where you are. I am in the US whereas
 Jonathan
 was in New Zealand.
