Re: soul seek
Hi there, Soul seek is a file sharing program similar to bear share and win m x. It works with both jaws and window-eyes and you can get both the program and scripts from http://www.jfwlite.com/programs Tony - Original Message - From: Kathy Szinnyey [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Thursday, January 03, 2008 6:56 AM Subject: Re: soul seek Er . . . um . . . Re: soul seek
Thanks, Actually, I find it totally accessible. The only problem that I am having is that after a while the downloads stop working for me. I am behind a router so I don't know if that is causing problems. Any one have any tips on configuring it to work from behind a router and firewall? - Original Message - From: Sarah To: PC Audio Discussion List Sent: Thursday, January 03, 2008 1:38 AM Subject: Re: soul seek It is, but you do need to do some clicking to get some stuff working but I really love it! Re: Music Downloads
I recommend bear share, which can be found at jfwlite.com. It may be out of date, but it works. Do_ not_ (this is underlined) upgrade. I don't know why, but bear share was completely remodeled in the update, and its completely unuseable with jaws. Stick with, uh, bear share lite 5.2, I think, and you'll be fine. If you don't have a version of jaws below 7.1, I recommend you get it. FOr some odd reason, versions higher than that don't like the list views in bear share, and your forced to use the jaws cursor. THis is odd, because those list views are just like any other. Nevertheless, jaws works well with this program, and I enjoy using it. thanks TYler - Original Message - From: GianniP46 [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PCAudioList pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Tuesday, January 01, 2008 1:12 PM Subject: Music Downloads Hey guys, what is a good program to download music that works well with Jaws? Stereo and 5.1 speaker system
Hi all, I have a 5.1 surround sound speaker system. When I was running Windows XP with a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card, when playing stereo music, sound would come out of both the front and rear speakers. It was still 2-channel stereo. Now I have upgraded to a new computer running Windows Vista Ultimate with a Sound Blaster X-FI Xtreme Audio sound card. The sound now only comes out of the front speakers when playing stereo music even though I have the speakers hooked up to the front and rear jacks on the card. Using PowerDVD I can up-mix stereo to 5.1 sound, but I have to play the music through PowerDVD and it is not a friendly audio player. Does anyone know of any software that will correct this problem short of manually connecting both the front and rear speakers to the front jack when I want to play music and then changing them back to hear 5.1 movies. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
