RE: static over my mixer

2008-01-19 Thread Jim Ruby
I can hear some white noise, but I hear little sounds I can send you a
sample if you wish and when I unplug the power cord from the laptop the
sound goes away, so wonder if there is any way I can shield it or get rid of
it.

High Jim,
Can you describe to me what it sounds like?
Is it white noise or some other kind of noise?

I would htink it would be the same as it always is. Go to file types,
and tab over to the all button, to associate all the file types that
Winamp can handle, with it.

Winamp playlist

2008-01-19 Thread Peter Scanlon
When adding files to a Winamp playlist they always get added to the bottom. Is
there a way to add them to the place where the cursor is sitting? And if not is
there command to move the current file up or down by more than one spot, to the
top or bottom, or by larger increments?

Plus Deck Tape drive to MP3 question?

2008-01-19 Thread tickpub
Hiall,appriciateallyourexpertadvise.
Ihavebeenusingthisplusdectape drive which converts tapes to wav or mp3
and it seemed to be doing ok. My complaint is that there is no real menu
system, you got to have some sight and a screen ehancer to change
anything and tsomehow something got changed and now it is a royal pain.

First of all, does anyone use a tape drive other than this plusdeck to
transfer tapes into mp3?
It is such a pain I am willing to spend another $70 bucks to get a system
that works with menues that will walk me through my tasks.

It use to work fine, but I did download a few other programs, maybe they
somehow screwed things up
Does any one have any ideas on what I might do.
Is it possible to use a differnet program with the plusdeck drive?
I am really upset, got a ton of work sitting here and just cannot get it
done without a working drive and easy program.
MMM thank you.

RE: Scripts for the Zen stone?

I've had the stone for a couple of days and I find it's as accessible as any
program I've ever used. I mean, up and down moves you from track to track
while side to side changes the volume. The scripts do help using the desk
top software and they're free.

Re: Changes in Winamp Version 5.52

2008-01-19 Thread Chris Skarstad
Now, if they would just make the damn library more screenreader
friendly, I think we'd have a lot of happy blind folks on these
lists. they seem to be all about these new modern bento skins.
They look pretty but the library gets increasingly harder to use with
each version. Trust me, I've gone to the Winamp developers and
explained the situation, and they did make some improvements but they
appear to be broken again, and unless someone with some programming
knowledge can show them what's happening, it may only get worse, or
stay this way.
It sucks.
