Re: Podcatchers

2008-03-13 Thread Steve Pattison
Hi Gary,

I use Golden Ear available from http://brooklynnorth.com to listen to
podcasts and find it very accessible with Window-Eyes. However Golden
Ear won't download podcasts automatically for you at scheduled times
like some other podcast programs are able to do.

Regards Steve.

I want to subscribe to some podcasts, but I can't seem to get the Media
Guide in Replay A/V 8 to show them to me. What other podcatchers can
anyone
recommend?

It is quite possible to add podcasts manually to Replay A/v if you go grab
the feed address and paste it into the Add Show dialog.

Re: Any reaction to the new firmware update for the Victor Stream?

2008-03-13 Thread Rick Harmon
Be aware that many on the victor stream list are reporting audio issues with
the update. The unit buzzes loudly when on A/c and external speakers on A/c
and the unit shuts down. Also some fuzziness of audio is being reported in
the menu voice and while listening to music on the unit.

I can verify most of the problems here and have been in contact with HW
support.

Just wanted to pass this along as a possible warning to perhaps be cautios
upgrading to 1.2.18 yet.

You're still best off spending the ten to twenty bucks on a card reader.
But the improvements to te firmware are phenomenal.

Re: sansa 250 MP3 player.

2008-03-13 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I don't have a Sansa player, but my understanding is that some will work
with Rockbox and some won't, and it's hard to tell which is which! I'd
suggest checking it out at Rockbox.org or posting a question to the
Rockbox mailing list. Sorry I wasn't more helpful. Maybe someone else
has a Sansa on this list and they can help.
