Sam Broadcaster and JFW Scripts
Hi listers. Do such things exist, and if so where can I get them? i'm currently using station play list and am very comfortable with it, but I'd just like to play with Sam broadcaster and see if i can make it work better with JAWS. thanks for any help. Rockbox Voicebox plus question.
Hi Folks: Because of voice file and voice clip production problems with the Rockbox utility program, I have once again switched to Cygwin to create voice files. I am, however, still having problems with voice clip generating using the VoiceBox Plus program. Filenames are being pre-maturely cut off. Question: is there a way to tweak the VoiceBoxPlus program so that the files names will not be cut off? Any help would be appreciated all over the place. RE: Recording quality of victor reader xtreme
To amplify on what has been discussed thus far, I can add my own agreement. Ray has given us a fine sample of a lecture recorded under less than ideal conditions. I can say from personal experience that the Stream has made perfectly adequate recordings of the private Pilates and physical therapy sessions I have recorded for use at home. True, the class is private so the instructor and I are working at very close range, but there are times when I may move away from the Stream, forgetting to pick it up in this large studio, and there may be other small groups working nearby, and there is absolutely no problem following the instructions later. Also, I recorded some committee dinner meetings in which we were working on publicity for a fine Australian guitarist visiting Visalia. The conversation was often quite animated, and again, I was able to later extract the information I needed quite easily. What the Stream did not record well was a song or two from the rehearsal by the opening band immediately after the meeting. I did not expect it to record music well, but decided to let it go just to see what would happen. The rehearsal was in the next room in the single-family home, and the music was over-modulated and distorted. Had I used my Edirol R9 or Dave's Olympus DS50 the quality would certainly have been most adequate for an on-the-fly recording. We have used those machines for recording music in party settings. But remember, music wasn't what we were after, nor is the person seeking to record a lecture, so I must totally agree with the positive assessments here. Would you be able to compare the recording quality with e.g. something like the olympus recorders? I have a serious hearing impairment so sound quality is of great importance to me. I cannot seem to find any sample recordings of this machine anywhere. There are some good reviews though. Echoing Pam and others here, I wouldn't burden myself with another mic. For what it does and what it is advertised to do, the internal mic is more than sufficient. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Pam Drake Sent: Friday, October 10, 2008 11:10 AM To: 'PC Audio Discussion List' Subject: RE: Recording quality of victor reader xtreme To amplify on what has been discussed thus far, I can add my own agreement. Re: Sam Broadcaster and JFW Scripts
I've been trying to do that since SAM BC V2, and V5 is now supposedly in the offing, so you can imagine how far I've been able to get. You're right if you guessed not very. The problem is the Delfi interface, with which JAWS of any version just does not seem to work. Funny, though, Window-Eyes seems to have no trouble with it whatsoever. Fo figya! Cricket - India v Australia
Hi all, Sorry I haven't responded sooner but have been out of contact over the last day or so. I am not aware of any audio streaming of this series. ABC local radio has the radio but not streaming rights and is streaming alternative programs while the cricket is on. You might find video streaming with TV commentary from a search such as Google, but be ware this can be misleading as it may merely only show up old data. It is a sorry state of affairs that business factors get in the way of what technology can provide. Things should be better from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa over the coming months. In the case of Australian originated cricket, in recent years the ABC stream has been restricted to within Australia but Cricket Australia has made the feed available internationally. We'll see in November what the story is this year. Good luck to all, Stephen Jolley Melbourne Australia Too much cricket is barely enough. Hi Stephen, Can you tell me if the venues for the Indian matches are all on the one time zone, or what times the other matches will start? Are they having a 20/20 match?
