Subject: Batch Conversion With Sound Taxi

Can Sound Taxi or some other batch conversion program preserve the artist
and album folder structure when converting a batch of ripped CD's from WMA
lossless to MP3 format?

I bought Sound Taxi. And I have also tried Easy CD-DA Extractor. I specify
the output target root folder. I select the artist folders in the lossless
CD directory. When I perform the conversion, Sound Taxi says conversion
complete very quickly, but nothing happens. Easy CD-DA Extractor does not
even enable the Convert option unless I drill down and specifically select
the .WMA files.

Is there a setting or procedure that will let me preserve the artist and
album folder structure when converting files in batch?

If not, do you know of another accessible program that will accomplish this?
How do you convert a batch of ripped CD's for playing in an MP3 player?

Thanks for all help.\\Rob

making mixed CDs with Nero

2009-01-31 Thread Donald L. Roberts

I would appreciate it if some kind list member would provide
step by step instructions as to how to make a mixed CD using
either Nero 6 7 or 8. I would prefer using Nero burning
rom. I use version 7 but have access to other versions if
they are more accessible.

What I want to do is to make a small text file containing
the track titles and include this as the non CDA part of a
mixed CD.

Although I prefer using Window Eyes, I also have a demo of
JFW 10 if your instructions are better suited to Jaws.

Thanks in advance for feedback.

2009-01-31 Thread Brett Boyer
Ok I have googled till it hurts. I have searched through this lists archive. I
don't want to join midi-mag just for a question. So here goes.
Does the software called fruity loops work with jfw or window-eyes. If not is
there software that is similar that is accessible.

Re: Waterproof Recording Equipment

2009-01-31 Thread Bob Seed
The question that has to be asked is how much do you want to pay for such
equipment? It is out there, however in most cases the manufacturer will
often stipulate that a digital recorder for an example can be exposed to
light rain, but not much more beyond that point. The digital recorders that
I am talking about have a rugged rubberized shell with rubber caps that fit
into the jack inputs and outputs that arn't being used. Again it is
emphasised not to put the machine under water, as water might get into the
inner workings of the machine. . .
