Re: Working with the Sandisk Sansa-E250
Here's something else you can try. In voiceBox, uncheck the button that says "Remove .wav files after processing." Now when you run voiceBox, it'll leave the .wav files behind which are an intermediate step in creating the voice clips. You can use any media player on your system to play these .wav files and make sure there's nothing wrong with them. Timothy wrote: You should have it to spell, but it doesn't matter. Make sure the hold switch is not on hold. Face the player so that the headphone jack is pointing away from you. The scrol wheel should be closest to you. Move the switch on the left of the headphone jack to the left if it is not already there. Connect your mp3 player to your PC. 2. make sure you can access the player. This is to ensure that the player is in MSC mode. It usually is already in MSC mode. To make sure, disconnect the player, have a sited person turn on the player, go to Settings --> USB Mode, and press select on MSC. 3. Extract the rockbox-sansae200-3.2.zip file to the root of the player's drive.
Re: .m4a files
I posted the following yesterday: Switch can do this. It comes as trialware, but after the trial period, you can still use it for free with some limitations. I would guess that converting M4A files would still work. Note that it won't break DRM. You can find out more on Switch from the FAQ, including a link to download the trial, at http://www.nch.com.au/switch/faq.html#ABA. Frequency modulation and vibrato control questions
Hi folks, My name is Scott Treeman, and I've been subscribed to this list for about two years. It has been great to get more information than I know what to do with, and learn a lot, and find just how much I don't know about production etc.! I have a question that I've never had answered, and wonder if you can help. My setup is like this: One Dell desktop, One external hard drive for storage of music only, One Cassio keyboard, used for audio tracks, and a Yamaha Clavanova cvp/94 which I use for a controller. I have also, a dinosaur of a keyboard, which was my first keyboard on which I had a sequencing program, this being the Korg o1/w pro x, and have been given some tips as to its use in my setup by the folks at Dancing Dots. My problem is as follows, It is strictly visual in nature, in that it has a curser, which one has to line up with the track on which one is working, and then value buttons to change the sounds in it. This isn't really my problem, however. My problem is that I am unable to turn "local," off on the board, and thus it's unusable to me in my setup. I am hoping to be able to bend notes and control the pitch modulation of sounds controlled by my Clavanova, or Cassio if possible. Any suggestions in this matter would be greatly appreciated. If possible, could you send "step-by-step," instructions as to how to get this done. When I contacted Dancing Dots on this matter, the founder said that I could incorperate the board into my system. If this is so, and I can use it to do this, it would be great. Any help would be appreciated, Scott C. Treeman. To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org

Re: Re: Working with the Sandisk Sansa-E250
HI Tim Yes, I did generate the talks files. I also have set the Directories and Files to work with talks. Somehow or other it still doesn't speak them Was it wrong to generate them on the Sandisk itself? Should I have done it on the computer then transferred it to the player? Alsshould I keep on the speaking directories and files with numbers or spelling? When I switch them off nothing gets spoken. I'm sure I must be doing something wrong, but I haven't hit on what yet. I see the .talk files but they do not get spoken. I've also been into the settings and tried activating the 'use talk files' with and without directory and file speaking with spelling. Is there another setting to set or is there another file or language I need to put onto the root directory of the Sansa? Thanks for any response. Fwd: A few words on Amadeus Pro
From:Dane Trethowan grtd...@internode.on.net To: vip-l list . If you're doing multi track work then you'll have to save your project in the Amadeus Pro sound/document format but your projects can be exported to other formats such as standard Wave, FLAC, Mp3 or whatever, at this time all tracks are combined into a "master mix", I'm yet to play with this facility so I'll let the list know how I get on. Its not often that one can report on things getting better with the economic recession and a thousand other problems to put up with but at least the author of Amadeus Pro is trying to change the trend and give us some encouragement with a fantastic product. ** Dane Trethowan From Melton Victoria Australia mailto:"grtd...@internode.on.net Twitter: http://twitter.com/grtdane Phone United Kingdom 02032874641 Phone Australia 0390058589 Phone United States 8159261869 Fax: +61 3 9743 7954x Mobile/SMS: +61 438 571201 MSN grtd...@dane-trethowan.net skype callto:grtdane12 ** Regards Steve Email: s...@internode.on.net MSN Messenger: internetuser...@hotmail.com Skype: steve1963 To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
