RE: Does Anyone Have This Sound Card?

2009-07-15 Thread Scott Erichsen
Hi Caroline,

From what I remember, these jacks have autosensing options.

Meaning when you connect something it will try determine what it is.

If you want I can send you the configuration I have set up and see if that's
any help?

Cheers,

Scott

Hi everyone. I've got a Realtek High Definition Audio sound card in my
Windows Vista system. There are 6 or 8 jacks on the back of my computer, and
two on the front. The front ones are no big deal, but I'm wondering if
anyone might have this card and know the configuration of the jacks on the
back. I'm attempting to get the Stereo Mix setting working in Goldwave, and
it won't work using my front microphone jack so I'd like to just see what
happens if I use the rear jack. But, I don't know which one it is, and if I
plug in something to one of the jacks I'm very politely told that a device
has been connected, but not what device it is. SMILE!!! So, any assistance
here would be helpful. I'm not sure I can get this working, and I was
extremely lucky with my last Vista machine and audio, but I'm also not
giving up until I've tried every possible option. Thanks in advance for any
thoughts.

Caroline

RE: Winamp and autotagging

2009-07-15 Thread David Edick
Unfortunately, this is in the play list context menu. I have not had the
best success with the play list and jaws with winamp, so I don't use this
feature via the context menu much. it is a bit different, and has some good
options if you find a successful way to navigate the playlist window.

Hopefully, this helps.

Hi all,
I've hit alt+3 on a few files lately and noticed an option to autotag an
audio file. So far it works great. It tells me I can select a group of
files and use the right click and send to option to have those files
auto tagged at once. I can't figure out how this is done. Do they mean
in windows explorer or in the play list editor, or what? I find no send
to option for winamp in the context (right click) section within windows
explorer and I can't find a setting I need to change in the preferences
settings that I need to change.

Any ideas folks?

Winamp Scripts Version 1.6 are now Available

2009-07-15 Thread Steve Pattison
Version 1.6 of the Window-Eyes scripts for Winamp are now available from
www.gwmicro.com/sc. Here are the changes in this version:

This release requires Window-Eyes 7.1 and GW Toolkit 7.9 or later. Checks are
made
to insure you are using the latest versions of both.
Enabled the use of Key Label Dictionaries to prevent the unwanted speaking of
letters
when keys are pressed (like C, R, S, V, X, etc).
The Winamp Jump to Time dialog now directly accesses edit controls to resolve
large
value speaking issues.
Attempted fixes for rare errors that are being seen when loading keys for the
active
window.
Added more error logic to the FindWinampBookmarkFile procedure to try and
resolve
rare errors being seen.
Added more error logic to the DetermineCursorKeyStatus procedure to try and
resolve
rare errors seen when attempting to enable and disable cursoring keys for the
active
window.

Problems with MP3 DirectCut

2009-07-15 Thread Sherry Wells
Hello list,

I am having problems getting started with MP3 DirectCut. I downloaded the
most recent version lately. When I open a file and start playing it, the
file either stutters or seems to jump forward a couple seconds at a time.
I have tried several different MP3 files. I am on a Windows XP PC and use
ZoomText 9.0 with speech. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as
I am looking forward to using this software. Thanks.

window eyes and sound cards

I use a soundblaster PCI sound card and last week I received a strange result.
while using WE7 and GoldWave I was recording via microphone and using
headphones. While the recording was in process, and I'm sure that mike was
checked in goldwave, I would use the W E cursor to check status. when I played
the recording back I could faintly hear the w e in the background. this never
happened with Jaws. anyone have an idea?

I'm able to batch auto tag in the play list editor when I clear it with
control N and load a folder fresh with shift l. I then select all with
control A and use the context menu to auto tag the selected files.

If you want greater access to the play list editor in JAWS both Jonathan

effectively in their respective organizations on Winamp screen reader

I wonder if it's the same as the DS50 that I have? If so, it takes two AAA
batteries. On the DS50, there's a plastic panel on the very end of the

Press this panel and pull back. The panel should give way and sort of
swing out of the way so you can insert the batteries. HTH.

I just got the above voice recorder which appears will be able to interface

Now I am very techy but, I cannot find the feaking battery compartment on

I have learned the hard way not to press, push or pull things if I don't
know what they do or what I could break!

If yall know where the battery compartment on the DS71 is, and how to open
it I would be most grateful.
