winamp erroring when trying to play mp3's on thumb drive
I just reformatted a thumb drive, and I have tried going to auto play to get music files to either just play in winamp or open using windows explorer, and then I'd start the songs in Winamp. But every time I try playing a file in the computer, in the thumb drive's drive, Winamp gives me that annoying error sound and wants me to send or not send an error report. It also won't let me down arrow to turn down volume or control tab to other open windows like equalizer, etc. Is there something I need to tell the Winamp library so it will let me play files from the thumb drive while thumb drive is in computer? I have run across this before and there was some type of yes/no box I had to click to okay it, but not even this box is showing up. I would appreciate any help. Chris, anymore tips you can give about using this app? I'm trying it out now and like it so far. The settings pain isn't that accessible, but it does work well. Re: What's the best Internet radio recorder.
Hi all. I didn't know this till today. If you like a particular station and it's not in Tapin's presets, there is an Open URL item under the file menu. So try that with your Shoutcast or Live365 streams. Hey, any 80's stations using those streams? Smiles. Anyway, as for the settings pain, I can use it no problems. It's not your typical settings dialogue box, as there are buttons instead of tabs. Pressing on those buttons will focus on settings for that category. Take care. Hi! It was a long time i played with the markers in goldwave but i seem to remember how to set them. But how in the world would i do to focus on the specific region between the markers. I would like to copy this to the clipboard. /A To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
RE: Windows Media Question
Hi. There could be a number of reasons why this isn't working for your friend. 1. It might be the disc they are trying to rip can't be found on the data base and in this case they should rip with another programme. If this happens with every disc then the other reason could be they haven't configured WMP to do this. To do this launch WMP and once launched press alt/T and then go to options and hit enter. Next control tab until you get to the rip tab then tab through and fill in the relevant options. Subject: Windows Media Question Hello list: I put this up a few days ago; figured I'd try again: if you use Windows Media to rip a CD (and it doesn't fill in the titles of tracks)..how can one change this? Mine did it right out of the box (or so it seems)..but I have a friend who has tried to rip CDs with Windows Media 11..and it's not doing this! Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! Re: Windows Media Question
Hello Walter: Okay..I eventually intend to forward this info to my friend. But just so I could be more familiar with this myself (as to better help my friend)..I went into that rip tab..but see no place to tell it to put in the titles! What is it I'm missing here?
