Re: WMP 12 jaws 12 in Windows 7
Am I missing something? The subject refers to WMP 12 and JFW 12, but I don't see anything in the thread below that has anything to do with WMP or JFW! I'm not even sure Windows 7 is involved here. Now that I think of it, I don't see that it really has anything to do with PC Audio either. It's not my list, so I don't really care, I'm just wondering if I'm missing some earlier part of the thread or something. Re: studio quality flac files
Technically, I think FLAC files are lossless but still compressed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Lossless_Audio_Codec On 24/07/11 07:55, tim cumings wrote: > Flack files are uncompressed, so their audio quality is as good as wav files > but they're > half the size. Hey bob, Well I really understand you, but you can't be sure that fault is the only one on that board. Funny enough I've seen exactly the same sound issue on one computer afew years ago. I hope I don't have to return the motherboard. I'd need to take it out of the computer, so better to send the whole tower back. Problem with that is, gonna cost me about 60 bucks to ship it as I bought it from an American company. And I live in Canada. I don't want to do that, but I will if I have to. Re: studio quality flac files
Flack files are uncompressed, so their audio quality is as good as wav files but they're half the size. Re: studio quality flac files
When you say "rip them yourself," what media are you talking about? Usually, the word 'rip' is used to refer to the process of copying CD's, and of course, CD's do not contain 24-bit/192KHz content. -- James Scholes http://twitter.com/JamesScholes To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
