Hello, Matthew,

When we spoke, we were discussing cd xp burner. That's worked great for me.

I've received a number of messages dealing with putting cds on a hard drive. I
must read all of them to see what the concensus may be.

Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness.

Hello again. I use COULDEX for this purpose, and I think that was the
program we used when I was on the phone with you. You'll run into the same
problem that you had before, if it won't recognize the cd info. It will make
a folder called no artist, with a folder called no title inside of it, if
you set it up this way. Then you'll need to rename the folders, but the ID3
tags won't be filled in properly, though you could tab through and fill in
the artist and title info before you hit f9 to extract into mp3. F8 extracts
to .wav, by the way.. If you take the time to do the filling in of the info
before extracting, then the folders that are created will be relevant.

I'm not Les, but iTunes is a media player on steroids. It's similar to
Windows Media Player,Winamp and other high end media players. You're
right, you can get it from itunes.com. Here's what that page says about
iTunes:

What is iTunes?

It’s how you play all your media on your Mac or PC and add it to
your iPhone, iPad, iPod, or Apple TV. And it’s a store that’s always
open and just a click away.

Re: NFL audio league pass, and jaws.

2011-08-11 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I've used it in the past, and I've signed up for it this season. It
looks to me that if you go to something like nfl.com/audiopass that you
should be able to click on the link for the schedule and then click on
the listen link next to the team's broadcast you want to hear. It also
sounds like from the FAQ this is how it should work. I'm not sure how to
test it though, since there hasn't been a game yet. I'll be checking it
out this evening though, and I'll let you know what I find out. If you
could do the same, that would be great!

Note that when I signed up for Audio Pass this year, I sent a note to
support letting them know that I'll be expecting a refund if I find it
isn't accessible. I didn't get a response from that ticket.

WMP works for me when it comes to ripping CDs to the hard drive; I like it
because, right out of the box, I found that it was already putting the
titles with the tracks (CDEX doesn't do it; you have to tell it) but in my

Hello again. I use CDEX for this purpose, and I think that was
the program we used when I was on the phone with you. You'll run into
the same problem that you had before, if it won't recognize the cd
info. It will make a folder called no artist, with a folder called no
title inside of it, if you set it up this way. Then you'll need to
rename the folders, but the ID3 tags won't be filled in properly,
though you could tab through and fill in the artist and title info
before you hit f9 to extract into mp3. F8 extracts to .wav, by the
way.. If you take the time to do the filling in of the info before
extracting, then the folders that are created will be relevant.

Re: putting cds on a hard drive

2011-08-11 Thread Byron Stephens
Cdex does in fact automaticly fill out the information, provided you set the
option to automaticly connect to remote cddb, and you can rip to mp3 up to
320k-bit. Wmp can only go to 160 .wma.

WMP works for me when it comes to ripping CDs to the hard drive; I like it
because, right out of the box, I found that it was already putting the
titles with the tracks (CDEX doesn't do it; you have to tell it) but in my
opinion, both programs work fine; it's all in what you like!

It's been a while since I've ripped a CD under Windows, but I just ended
up using Windows Media Player. I would have trouble with some CD's using
CDex, and since I'm not an audifile, I just found it easy to use WMP,
since it was already sitting their on my hardrive. I'm not trying to
criticize CDex, but rather just pointing out another alternative.

Okay, all right, I give up! I want to play several dvd's that come in PAL
format, but of course I live in the U.S. where you have to figure out a
means of playing them. Anyone know of either accessible software or player
I

can find to play these? Sad sigh!

Peace,
Kathy
