Try compressing it with a higher compression level if your zipping
program allows.

2012-12-29 Thread Christopher Chaltain
Since a RAR file is already compressed, I doubt you'll get much more out
of the compression, but you could check the settings used in the
application you used to generate the RAR file. Sometimes you can trade
off time against the amount of compression. If you didn't create the RAR
file yourself, you can try running it through another compression
application, but as I said, I wouldn't be optimistic that you'd be able
to compress it by another 3x.

2012-12-29 Thread Brian Olesen

hi,
if it's already been compressed you'll definately not be able to compress it
further, and at least not to less than 33 % of it's current sise.

You might be able to split it into smaller chunks though.

Best regards
Brian

playing audio files on nls player

2012-12-29 Thread Bud Schwab

Hi gang,

Somehow I deleted the folder that I can put mp3 files in to read on
my nls player. I had it on the little thumb drive that I download
my books on and somehow deleted it. Now I don't remember how I got
that folder that accepts audio files. Could somebody please refresh
my memory on how to create the folder to accept audio files? Thanks so much.

2012-12-29 Thread Bud Schwab

Hi gang,

I sent this note but it bounced back saying it might contain
something suspect so I'm sending it again. I just said that I had
inadvertantly deleted my folder that I put mp3 files in on my little
thumb drive that I download my nls books on. Now I don't remember how
I created that folder in the first place. Could somebody please give
me some info on how to recreate that folder again? Thanks so much.

Hello there, here is how you create the folder.
1. put the thumb drive in the computer.
2. go to your thumb drive by accessing it from my computer, once you find
what your thumb drive is called hit enter on it.
3. hit alt f for file and use your down or up arrows until you hear the
option new submenu
4. hit enter or right arrow and down or up arrow until you here the
option folder or you can hit the letter f for folder, once you are in
the ew sub menu. Once you find folder just hit enter and type the name
of what you want your folder to be called.
5. final step hit enter and your folder has been created. if you want
to get back out of your folder just hit the back space key or or alt f4.

hope these steps help you.
