Fwd: Winamp questions
Hi all, I don't know if anyone of the list saw my post below as I haven't seen a reply on it yet. So forgive me, but I would like to start learning how to do some radio ready recordings and jingles of my own. Please, if anyone knows what the download link might be for WinAmp, (and if anyone knows which version of WinAmp works the best with NVDA) you can post your answers off-list to me if you would. Thank you! For now, I have two questions for an NVDA user: -- me. 1. Where do I go to download winamp to work with the Shoutcast radio broadcasting program? 2. Which version will work the best for an NVDA user? Thank you in advance for helping me get started in radio! -- John Chilelli Student of Happiness Erie, PA 16507-1551 Office Phone: 814-450-5433 Office Email: pianot...@neo.rr.com To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
microphone issue
Hello all, I wunder if there is a work around here, I want to use a pro dynamic mic, but most of them comes with xlr cables or trs connections. Now I would love to be able to use the mic with the xlr connectors on my soundcard, and then also with a cable using a 3.5 mm jack, but I don't no if its possible to get a cable with the xlr connector on one end to plug in the mic and on the other end the 3.5 connector? I did consider using an adapter with the trs jack to convert to 3.5 but then its very enconvenient when using in smaller recorders such as Olympus. Any ideas? Or perhaps does anyone no of any vocal model from audio technical wich does not have a fitted cable wich I then could swop between the cable they provide and my own xlr cable? I ask about audio technical as I no that most of their mics uses 3.5 mm connections but if they uses a permanent fitted cable that would then be a problem. RE: microphone issue
A competent technician should not have any problems in making up a short cable with the relevant plug and socket. I had one made up for me for a conference microphone. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Aidan Maher Sent: 03 April 2013 04:05 PM To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org Subject: microphone issue Hello all, I wunder if there is a work around here, I want to use a pro dynamic mic, but most of them comes with xlr cables or trs connections. Re: microphone issue
I thought of that, I guess I must ask someone at a music shop then, as they will have xlr connectors, but its difficult, not really a lot of helpful people nearby, but stil a good idea thanks.
