Jonathan has a new book available, you can read a review and get more
information at , I'm sure
many people may find Jonathan's new title both an invaluable resource and an
eye opener - pardon the very bad pun -.

I wouldn't worry about the spelling, you're talking about Jonathan, he's
from New Zealand, a lot of sheep out there so if in doubt just write Sheep,
Lamb Chop etc and everyone will know exactly whom you're referring to
.

Seriously though, it very well may be that a tutorial or something similar
may have been done on Sam and I'll investigate this myself, I use dJay for
the Mac but want to get something for Windows, up until now I had pretty
much made up my mind to purchase Station Playlist however Sam has some
incredibly powerful features which I'd like to take advantage of.

For example, you can let your listeners into your library via a HTML web
page and they personally select what they want to hear and Sam does the
rest.

Brian has looked at accessability of Sam but after this discussion started I

Again, I think this might be a Screen Reader thing, there's a list of shortcuts
available so type VLC Shortcuts into Google and you should get the appropriate
page.

As I recall with the Windows version, ctrl-up and down move the volume, I
remember that much and the usual types of navigation and manipulation
of tracks are available.

Regarding the Interface? I think that can be changed so perhaps that might give
better access, really should got the Windows machine out again and have a play
to refresh my memory.

I have tried it with JAWS and found the built in keystrokes wouldn't work
but others haven't had any problems with them with JAWS.

Hi list. I'm curious as to whether the VLC media player is accessible
without the need for scripts, and how it stacks up against Windows Media
Player for playing audio files and making playlists; if anyone here uses
this software please let me know how usable it is with screen readers such
as System Access; thanks.

Hi all,
If you're shopping for a low-cost microphone, here's one to consider:

http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATR2100-USB-Cardioid-Dynamic-Microphone/dp/B004QJOZS4

The ATR 2100 offers two ways of connecting it, USB and XLR.

The ooTunes database has thousands of stations to choose from. I've found
everything I've searched for so far in there. Unfortunately, I don't
actually own one of the new Streams, but I did use a friend's for a little
while to check it out. I've also heard that you can add stations manually
using the companion. Hope this helps.

One thing than can be said about the new Victor Reader
Stream is that it
has a far better speaker than the older model but then
again, what
 doesn't!

I'm looking at Daisy players at the moment, the
Plextalk Pocket looks a
very attractive option still even though the processor
isn't as good as
that found in the Stream, dealers tell me that still
the firmware is far
 better.

The Milestone is also something I'm considering,
Bluetooth connectivity
 is very appealing.
