RE: AUdible conversion
Hello Ketan, the only way I can think of to convert Audible books is to record them while they are playing. I have had limited success with Sound Taxi. I normally set Goldwave to record, and tell it to auto save and shut down afterthe book has finished, and let it record overnight. I then use Q points to split the file into sections. Hope this helps. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Ketan Kothari Sent: 12 March 2014 00:12 To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: AUdible conversion The file type shown here is aasx. As soon as I begin the process, it does not ask me for username and password and converts the file into jibberish. What am I doing wrong? Can someone please help? I don’t mind purchasing goldwave. How many days can I use goldwave in demo mode? With best wishes, Ketan
Accessible Australian Football online and mobile
Hi all, The new AFL season starts Friday March 14. For screen reader users, navigating the AFL website http://www.afl.com.au/ to live audio streaming is rather challenging and around the AFL app is quite fiddley. Here is a solution that may work for those seeking a better way. From my page http://members.optusnet.com.au/stephenjolley/livestreams under the AFL etc. heading is a link to the 'Current match list http://members.optusnet.com.au/stephenjolley/afl-radio '. There is still in this area the pair of links to each radio service. This 'Current match list http://members.optusnet.com.au/stephenjolley/afl-radio ' link' brings up a list of matches for the round , each of which takes you to the AFL Match Centre page for that game with links to each of the stations covering it. You may also like to copy (perhaps by email), the 'Current match list http://members.optusnet.com.au/stephenjolley/afl-radio ' URL to your mobile device and even save it on your home screen. This will give convenient mobile access to any commentary underway. Good luck, Stephen Stephen Jolley's page: http://members.optusnet.com.au/stephenjolley/livestreams Current match list: http://members.optusnet.com.au/stephenjolley/afl-radio Too much sport is barely enough.
Re: AUdible conversion
Dear Samuel, The suggestion is good except that the book is 19 hours long and to record that amount would take ages. Any other suggestion please? RE: AUdible conversion
In that case, what you can do is find a good place to stop when you need to use the computer, and start recording from where you left off the next night. When I tried using Sound Taxi, it would sometimes include audio from other sources which I did not want. Hope this helps. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Ketan Kothari Sent: 13 March 2014 09:26 To: lostinthestac...@yahoogroups.com; PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: AUdible conversion Dear Samuel, The suggestion is good except that the book is 19 hours long and to record that amount would take ages. Re: AUdible conversion
Sorry ketan I missed your previous post. Enter SoundTaxi in Google and the website will pop up giving a price as well. I've had mine so long I just can't remember the price any morel. I think the Pro version is the one you need. To my knowledge it's the only software that will convert Audible. archos studio recording problem
Hello list I don't know whether this question is allowed on the list but if not, Please forgive me. I try to record via the line-in of my Archos Studio 20GB player. As long as sound is coming in, it records but if there is just a moment of silence then the recording stops and the file is closed. I looked everywhere in the settings but I can not find a setting that has to do with silences. If this is not off topic, can someone please suggest a solution? I may add that I installed the latest rockbox version for the Archos but even if I reinstall the original the result is the same. Regards Fanus

Re: nhl radio.
Hi list. Here's my 2 cents: there's a program called SpeakOn Media Suite; you can go to www.speakon.org to get the scoop on this free program; if you have registered with Tunein Radio this program can handle that as well; the program is self-voicing; I've been trying it out, and find that it works well; it's also free.
