Going Portable, What Will They Think Of Next

2014-09-27 Thread Dane Trethowan
Hi!

I don't wonder about what is available out there in the stores anymore, I just
buy it and enjoy the convenience, so is the case with a new portable hard drive
I just bought on eBay.

Its size is unremarkable at1TB but what is remarkable are the connectivity
options this drive has.

Its USB 3.0 compatible but also Wi-Fi B/G/N ready.

Added to this are the extra DLNA and AirPlay connectivity functions included.

Added to this is the built-in rechargeable battery, it only lasts for 6 hours
that's true - nothing startling there - but at least one gets 6 hours of good
portable use.

I should receive the drive later on this week and will let you know how I go
setting the device up though I doubt it will be too much of a problem.

Where did the Internet radio option go?

2014-09-27 Thread Mike Bernard
Hello everyone,

Just upgraded to the latest version of the Itunes software. But, when I
arrow through the list of buttons, I don't see the option for Internet
Radio. You know, Adult alternative, smooth jazz with ace radio,
college/university Etc. Is there a setting I have to change? Or did Apple
decide to take Internet radio away.

The Internet Radio Button in iTunes

2014-09-27 Thread Dane Trethowan

Hi!

I've changed the subject line so we all know exactly what this thread is
about smile..

The latest version of iTunes is 11.4

The Internet Radio button - according to my Windows 7 computer running
JAWS - can be reached by tabbin around, I hear it announced just after I
leave to Playlists button.

I refer to my system as I'm not exactly sure whether all iTunes layouts
on all computers are the same.

The next thing I would check is to see that Internet Radio is actually
showing on your screen, to do this go into general Preferences from the
Edit menu of iTuens and make sure the Internet Radio view is checked.

Hello Dane,
Sorry if I spelled your name incorrectly, I went back into Itunes while I
still had your email reply opened, and as it turns out, Internet radio was
unchecked along with many other options by default. I checked the (internet
radio) button, and the treeview containing the various genres is now
showing. I checked, and I too have version 11.4.
Just installed it this morning, and it installed like a charm on my new hp

Re: The Internet Radio Button in iTunes

2014-09-27 Thread Dane Trethowan
Your question was a good one.

iTunes has evolved into a many layer entertainment hub and its easy to get lost
in the software.

I mainly use iTunes on my Mac and most concepts presented in iTunes apply
equally to Windows. There's a good book worth the read entitled Take Control
Of iTunes, it was written originally for the Mac but Windows users will be able
to make perfect sense of most of the content.
