strange bluetooth audio issue need help please?

2014-10-26 Thread Michael Amaro
Hello Listers,

I am having a strange bluetooth pairing issue. When I turn on my jambox, it
pairs fine with my iPhone 5s. The issue is as follows. When I put the jambox
in pairing mode once again, It won't pair with my windows 7 64 bit laptop. I
have to turn off the blutooth on the iPhone. Only then will the laptop pair
with the speaker Can some one please help?

Thanks
Michael

What kind of peace do I mean and what kind of a peace do we seek? Not a Pax
Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war, not the peace of
the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace the
kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living and the kind that enables
men and nations to grow and to hope and build a better life for their children
not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women not merely peace
in our time but peace in all time.

That doesn't really seem strange to me at all. You can't pair one and
the same device simultaneously with two audio output sources such as
the phone and the pc. I don't have lots of bluetooth devices, but those
I do have all act that way. They can be paired with more than one
device, but not at the same time. Only one device can be on and paired
at any given time.

You can't have more than one thing joined to the speaker at once. If you think
about it logically then it makes sense. What would the JamBox listen to? How
would it know what device has the right of way.

right I understand. Lets say I have just finished listening to music on my
iPhone. I put the speaker in pairing mode once again, so it unpairs from
the phone. Should it not then pair with the laptop?

It doesn't unpair with the phone unless you tell the phone to forget
the device or you turn bluetooth off on the phone. The device can be
paired with more than one bluetooth source, just not engaged with more
than one at a time. So turn off bluetooth on the phone and pair it with
the pc whose bluetooth is on. That should work.
