Re: TapinRadio Presets
Well, maybe they did not update the stations in your region, but they do update them often. Perhaps you should rather applications key on a station and report the faulty streams. Or rite to the support address. I particularly like this feature. Regards Steve. -- Facebook: m.facebook.com/aidan.maher92 Skype: andries4451 Twitter: smarttalk7 Audioboo: www.audioboo.com/DjSpotlight

I agree, the only thing why its kind of important that it support aac plus streams and alike, is because then you can add the stations to your favorites, and schedule something and it can record without another player have to be open. The way it is now, you have to have your brouzer or another audio player open in order for the skedular to record. Wich means if I have to record something everyday at nine in the morning, I have to set the skedual, and every night make sure before I go to bed that the audio player is running, and I have to even make sure the station in of intrest is running if I want to record from radio. Actually the person who put me onto the “Background Recording” feature saved me heaps of time and many of the problems discussed in the last couple of eMails were solved. For one thing, your browser doesn’t have to remain open, Total Recorder handles all that and you can read your novel with JAWS whilst the recording takes place, you won’t hear your novel reading session when you play it back smile. Audio Sale Of Sangean DPR25 Portable DAB+ Radio
Hi! I recorded this for someone else actually so thought I’d make it available to everyone. This is an audio sample taken from the Sangean DPR25 portable DAB+ radio, its a stereo unit with 2 speakers, headphones out, line-out and line-in for external devices. It has a pretty decent sound for a portable with its 2 speakers though I used the line-out connected to the line-in of the Zoom H1 recorder for this sample. What you’ll hear is a report from America which airs on Radio 3AW Melbourne every weekday morning after the 3 O’Clock news, hope you find the sample of interest, audio quality - given its DAB+ - is pretty good. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10565527/Report%20From%20America.mp3 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10565527/Report%20From%20America.mp3 If link doesn't work the first time then try again in a few minutes, file may still be uploading to Dropbox. ** Dane Trethowan grtd...@internode.on.net Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane
Podcast: Bowers And Wilkins Z2 AirPlay Speaker Dock
This is the first Podcast I’ve done in a while, sorry if the audio quality is slightly lacking, been a while since I used the Zoom H1 recorder and forgot the format switch was in the MP3 position but no matter, you still should enjoy and get the gist of the Podcast. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10565527/Bowers%20And%20Wilkins%20Z2%20AirPlay%20Dock.mp3 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10565527/Bowers%20And%20Wilkins%20Z2%20AirPlay%20Dock.mp3 If link doesn't work the first time then try again in a few minutes, file may still be uploading to Dropbox. ** Dane Trethowan grtd...@internode.on.net Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane
Re: Reinstalled Total Recorder
Quick question about TR, if I may interject. Does it have the facility to move through a recording at slow speed - what in analogue parlance you might call rocking the spools? I'm of the old school of editing - chinagraph pencils and razor blades - and finding just the beginning of a cough, for example, isn't so easy at normal speed. -- rgds LAurence
Re: Reinstalled Total Recorder
A good interjection sir smile, yes indeed it does though it doesn’t have a”Cue/review” scrubbing type of feature that you might find in say Goldwave, it can however fast-coward and rewind through audio and you hear the audio as you’re going forward or back. You can set the increment for this from very fine to very wide. On 18 Nov 2014, at 4:53 am, Laurence Taylor g7...@gmx.co.uk wrote: Quick question about TR, if I may interject. Total Recorder Question
I have Total Recorder 8.2 with JAWS 11 and Windows XP Pro. TR is working fine; recording streams and stuff. However I must have VOX turned on because recording stops on quiet passages. Anyone know how to turn VOX off and record everything? Thanks. Howard
Re: Total Recorder Question
I assume vox is an driver spisific feature? I ask as I don't see it on my side. Probibly you use one of the older drivers wich are working better with xp, so I cannot really comment on that as I'm on windows7 with the latest 8.5 with the curnel filter driver. Pure One Elite Series 2
Hi all Received this radio today from www.argos.co.uk it's a DAB/FM digital radio system. The product is quite accessible even without speech. Once you know the basics like adjusting the volume and selecting a station it's a piece of cake. Of course changing settings, retuning or resetting to factory defaults may need sighted assistance, as well as the advanced functions of the radio. One cool feature that may or may not be usable by us is the ability to pause and rewind live radio, as well as record programs for later listening. The programs are stored in its in-built memory. There is a USB port located on the side but it's only used to update the firmware from what I gather when downloading the PDF manual a few days ago which, by the way, should be accessible with your favourite reader, there is also an auxiliary input port so you can connect your iPod or other MP3 player. Cost £84.99.
Re: Pure One Elite Series 2
Yes, I bought one of these radios quite some time ago though its not one I listen to much, I think the Sangean DPR25 has a better sound to its speakers. It doesn't have all the functionality of the model you mentioned however its far easier to use. For example, if you wish to scan for stations then you don't have to go through a menu system as you do with the Pure One Elite, just hold down the scan button and the radio starts a scan. Whilst the Pure model has more presets I much prefer the way the Sangean does things, has 5 dedicated preset buttons. No, the DPR25 doesn't provide pause/Rewind/Fastforward facilities however it does have a line out socket. I have the Sangean DPR17 radio which does record and provide the time shifting fuhctionality of the Pure and its more flexible than the Pure for a number of reasons. The First is that the Sangean DPR17 uses a SD card thus you're not limited to internal memory, you can transfer your recorded files to your PC and so on and this - for me at least -was a serious shortcoming with the Pure. I believe you would have made a better purchase had you bought the Sangean however, the Pure radio is not a bad radio by any manner of means, I've seen far worse. And finally, the most accessible DAB radio I've seen is without doubt the Sangean WRF28D, you can read the scrolling text via an IOS App, browse your stations, see the RDS text on FM and so forth.
