Re: vlc is driving me nuts!.
Some people have a real way of wasting time smile however it wasn't all in vain, I've just spent a few seconds modifying my Window-Eyes settings for VLC and undefining all those WE Hotkeys that VLC uses, that's something I should have done long ago so this thread has inspired me to act. On 17/07/2015 7:23 AM, Robert Nelson wrote: Randy: Your original message was: Friends, I can't make heads or tails of this thing. can someone tell me how to getfor example form one episode to another? I strongly recommend that you read the following and make sure that you understand what you are being told. Put your DVD in the drive. Start VLC player. Use Control+D to bring up the disk dialogue. Tab through this dialogue and make sure that the DVD appears in the field that indicates the disk that will be opened. If your target DVD is not in that field because you have more than one DVD drive then use the browse button to move to the correct drive. Once you have verified that you have the correct disk selected, use the shift+tab button to go back to the play button. Press space on the play button and after 10 to 30 seconds (depending on the preference of the DVD manufacturer), the DVD will begin to play. To play or pause the DVD use the space bar. Use P only if you want to start playback from the very beginning. The playback menu can be reached by Alt+L . In the playback menu you will find: Title - which will tell you the length of the titles on the DVD Chapter - which tells you about the chapters of the selected title Program which will probably show as being unavailable Speed Custom bookmarks Jump forward (see the keyboard shortcuts below) Jump backward See below Jump to specific time see below Previous title Next title Previous Chapter Next Chapter Play Stop Previous Next Record So, to do what you say you want to do in your original message, press space to make sure your DVD is playing, press space again to pause playback then use Alt+l to go to the playback menu then go down to the next title and press enter. Wait for a few seconds for the program to adjust and then press space to resume playback. The following shortcut keys can be used rather than the jump item in the playback menu: Shift+Arrow Left/Arrow Right Very short jump (3 seconds) Alt+Arrow Left/Arrow Right Short jump (10 seconds) Ctrl+Arrow Left/Arrow Right Medium jump (1 minute) Ctrl+Alt+Arrow Left/Arrow Right Long jump When you are finished, control+q will close VLC. Do not use the X or N keys in VLC or you will have unexpected consequences. There is no need for you to use the pass next key function of your screen reader for any command in VLC. -- ** Those who need help are those who are prepared to help themselves

You can also use the menus, like video, audio and all that to move around. They have a “program” and “ital” selector which actually can get you passed a DVD menu too. Re: vlc is driving me nuts!.
The only thing I can't - at this time - play on VLC for Windows are those files etc on my DLNA/UpNP devices but that's not because VLC for Windows doesn't have the facilities to play them, I just haven't been able to access the appropriate part with my Screen Reader yet, I'm sure that if VLC for the Mac can do it then VLC for Windows certainly can. I'm sure I'm looking in the right place with VLC for Windows, under open Network and the select protocol combo box, now if I can get WE to read that then I'll be in business, I'll have another play tomorrow. I tested VLC with DVD'S, its best to open the DVD from the Open Disc option from the media menu, from there you'll see a skip menu option which bypasses the welcom menu etc, you can also select what you wish to play from here. Randy: Your original message was: Friends, I can't make heads or tails of this thing. can someone tell me how to getfor example form one episode to another? I even tried pressing the n as in nancy keyit stops. Can someone help, if you don't mind, please? You have wasted a lot of time going off on tangents. RE: vlc is driving me nuts!.
Hello Robert and list: This is probably as about as good as it gets where VLC is concerned; good job of laying it out there! It works, for I, myself, tried some of your instructions (and they _will_ work! So there ya go Randy; give it a shot; I think you'll do well to listen to what Robert is telling you here! Tom Kaufman -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Robert Nelson Sent: Thursday, July 16, 2015 5:24 PM To: 'PC Audio Discussion List' Subject: RE: vlc is driving me nuts!.

Re: vlc is driving me nuts!.
I've done everything I possibbly could on this thing friends. I appreciate this. however, this player's a gremlin!. At 05:48 PM 7/16/2015, you wrote: Some people have a real way of wasting time smile however it wasn't all in vain, I've just spent a few seconds modifying my Window-Eyes settings for VLC and undefining all those WE Hotkeys that VLC uses, that's something I should have done long ago so this thread has inspired me to act. On 17/07/2015 7:23 AM, Robert Nelson wrote: Randy: Your original message was: Friends, I can't make heads or tails of this thing. can someone tell me how to getfor example form one episode to another? I even tried pressing the n as in nancy keyit stops. Can someone help, if you don't mind, please? You have wasted a lot of time going off on tangents.
Replacement Battery For Olympus DM4 Recorder
I finally found a replacement battery for my recorder, by the look of things the battery is quite standard, that is the battery for the DM4 seems to be the same for the dM7.
