Re: Help With JBL Flip 2 Needed
I’m sure some do but wouldn’t it just be easier- now Tom has the JBL - to plug a patch cord into the JBL and the other end into the Stream? The way things are going Tom will need a jacket with 100 pockets. > On 7 Aug 2015, at 8:13 am, cov...@ccs.covici.com wrote: > > I have never seen one of those which actually worked! Hi! Been doing some research on Google and this is anyone who has a Victor Reader Stream. It would appear that Humans Beware sell some sort of accessaries pack for the Stream which includes some portable speakers of some kind so that may be an option users may wish to follow up. Don't get me wrong, this speaker seems to be a good choice given its price but anyone who waits for Humans Beware to do something or other and buys a pair of speakers just because they might is living in a fools paradise, I'm sure I read on a list not all that long ago - may have even been this list - that Humans Beware had no intention whatever of introducing Bluetooth to the Victor Reader stream, the claim was made that a survey had been done and users of Victor weren't interested in anything so practical and that's a shame as adding Bluetooth would have added huge potential to the stream by making it compatible with a whole heap of devices such as your JBL, making it compatible with hearing instruments and so it goes on. Again, I'm not having shots but just a pair of speakers would have been for the purposes of the Victor Reader Stream, if one day - by chance - Humans Beware came out with a Bluetooth model then look at the option then as there will be a whole new set of Bluetooth gadgets around if and when that day ever arrives. Why did you buy this JBL model if the victor Reader stream doesn't have Bluetooth? I mean you could get far cheaper solutions with an Aux-in and without blue tooth. It's a great speaker (I am going to use it to listen to my Victor Stream through) well the rechargeable battery has died, so I need to charge it up; this is where I need help: I get that you have to plug in the end that has the USB end into the adapter. However the adapter seems to have no prongs on it to plug into the receptacle; just two holes! So how am I supposed to plug this little thing into the receptacle if there are no prongs? Am I missing something here; did Radio Shack forget to include something in my package of stuff I was supposed to get? Or is it that this only fits certain types of receptacles? Also, I am told that with this particular speaker, one _must_ let the battery run all the way down until it cuts off before charging; is this also true? I was listening to the stream tonight, when the speaker just shut off; no warning; nothing to indicate that my power supply was getting low! Anyhow right now I'm mainly interested in getting this thing charged up; there just seems to me that there is no way to do so, for there is nothing to plug into the receptacle, that is, unless I am missing something! Help will be much appreciated. Tom Kaufman -- ** Those who don't need help are prepared to help themselves
