Handsfree, Another Great Piece Of Software
the title says everything that needs to be said about the Handsfree Mac App, pair your Mac using Bluetooth with your phone - Android or IOS it doesn't matter - and begin using your Mac's audio system as a handsfree system with the paired phone. Handsfree App offers quite a bit more than Facetime on the Mac and those features include SMS send/receive - if you have an Android device -, call transfer and call recording. Price of this app is $10. ** Those who don't need help are prepared to help themselves
Boson Is Beautiful!
There’s nothing like being pleasantly surprised as it doesn’t often happen these days and I’m happy to report that my first few minutes with Bosn Audio Editor have pleasantly surprised me. The App is as accessible as it possibly could be it seems with VoiceOver and all the functions I tried worked. The menu interface is simple to use yet extremely comprehensive for a $30 audio recorder/Editor/Converter and most of the goodies you’d find in more expensive audio packages are there including a whole effects menu. Cursor movement and selection is easy enough, you can move in units as small as a tenth of a second right up to 2 seconds, not as thorough as some of the more expensive editors perhaps but certainly good enough for most needs and in any case, you can always use the “Go To” option for more accurate fine tuning of your work. Got to get back to work so unfortunately I can’t do any more exploration of Boson right now, I do intend to do some reading of the accompanying documentation to see what tips and tricks are offered and I have a whole heap of editing work to do so I’ll doo all those jobs with Boson and see how I get on though - if my above comments are anything to go by - I don’t see any major stumbling blocks. ** Those of a positive and enquiring frame of mind will leave the rest of the halfwits in this world behind.
Boson Express
There’s a free version of the Boson Audio Editor available so I’ll try this first before purchasing the full version, I didn’t notice this when looking yesterday in the MacApps Store. ** Those of a positive and enquiring frame of mind will leave the rest of the halfwits in this world behind.
Re: Mobile DAC/Headphone Amps
the Oppo will be my next purchase for sure, was going to get the Chord Mojo but its a bit pricy and the Oppo will do a fairly good job I'm sure. The Music Boost is out of the question as I have an iPhone 6S and also a Galaxy S6. On 10/02/2016 7:32 PM, John Gurd wrote: Hi Dane I'll have to stop looking at your posts to avoid temptation. Besides which, the specs and reviews are very good. The range of high res recordings it can playback is incredible, ludicrous in a way as 32bit recordings don't even exist yet commercially. It seems quite a few list members are after better audio quality from their music when using an iPhone etc. The Music Boost has been discussed along with the Mojo unit but heres another that looks quite nice, saw it at my local Hi-Fi dealer this morning so looked it up on their web site. http://www.stereophonic.com.au/oppo-ha-2-portable-headphone-amplifier-dac/ ** Those of a positive and enquiring frame of mind will leave the rest of the halfwits in this world behind. -- ** Those who don't need help are prepared to help themselves

Re: ls100 problem
Well, if you leave the batteries out of the unit for longer than 15 minits, it should later on when you turn it on it will bring up the dialog asking if you want to leave voice on or turn it off. Its a good thing to learn that part of the menu so you can get back there easily. Normally I can get to it quickly, but I did not see the exact structure of the ls100 yet so it will be a bit misleading from me to give you ruff guesses as to where it exactly are.
