Some Further DM-720 Answers
Responses bouncing again, hope this goes through. Hi Jim, In the DM-720 The battery door now also uncovers the micro SD card slot. As for Lists button etc, I think they overlap in functionality. I tend to use the button on bottom right to navigate to different folders, pressing once or twice as needed. Also, in case you encounter issues, when trying to recharge the internal battery, through plugging in to a USB charger, you need to press the OK button an additional time after choosing charging from the connect menu, to activate charging. I presume it is an 'are you sure?' warning, but it isn't presented via Voice Guidance. Where on Earth do I put the Micro-SD card? I can't seem to find a place anywhere on the machine; although, I was told I could use one. Am I missing something? I was looking on the bottom of the machine, where the USB plug came out, but it seems like the wrong place for a card slot. Am I wrong? Thanks again. Oh, and what does the "List" button do? How is that different from using the f1 button to get to my folders? Thanks again. Access your iTunes Library from non-Apple devices : iHomeServer for iTunes
Now this App looks most interesting and may very well bridge the gap I have in my streaming system here, at present I'm unable to use DLNA to stream my iTunes library to other devices. I've installed this and will have a play to see if I can get it going. http://www.bizmodeller.com/iHomeServer/iHomeServer-Access-iTunes-from-non-Apple-Devices.aspx -- ** Those who don't need help are prepared to help themselves
Re: Accessories For Your B&W P7 Headphones
I wouldn’t be taking a long cable like that around with me with the P7’S I can assure you , that’s why you can change the cables over so when you’re out remove the long cable and replace it with one of the supplied shorter cables depending on your needs, you would probably want to use the cable with the inline controls and microphone if you were going out with your iPhone for example. > On 14 Jun 2016, at 5:55 AM, Anders Holmberg wrote: > > Hi! > Thats great to see a long cable so one can choose. > No one thing i don’t like is that its way to bulky when folding the > headphones. > But if one should have small headphones then i guess i have to stick with the > koss porta pro. > But they don’t have the best cable in the world. > /A >> On 12 Jun 2016, at 17:20, Dane Trethowan wrote: >> >> Some people are never happy are they . >> >> >> >> >> >> On 13/06/2016 1:17 AM, cov...@ccs.covici.com wrote: >>> Only problem I see is keeping it from getting tangled -- 5 meters is >>> quite long. >>> >>> Dane Trethowan wrote: >>> Owners of these cans are in for a very pleasant surprise, go to the B&W home page, look up the P7, look under accessories and you'll find a 5 Meter cable available which can be interchanged with the other cables that came with the cans. Re: Best AirPlay speakers 2016 | Best buys | What Hi-Fi?
I take your points. I know this is a step down but the B&W has two ways to select the source. The first and simple mode is auto-select that is to say the speaker system will switch to whatever source just happens to be playing. Failing that you use the source selector button on the remote controller which toggles between all 4 sources. Most of the time however auto source selection does me just fine though I have to remember that if I switch on the DAB+ radio connected to the Digital input that my AirPlay stream will be interrupted. > On 14 Jun 2016, at 5:47 AM, John Gurd wrote: > > This looks very interesting, thanks. Re: Accessories For Your B&W P7 Headphones
Hi! Thats great to see a long cable so one can choose. No one thing i don’t like is that its way to bulky when folding the headphones. But if one should have small headphones then i guess i have to stick with the koss porta pro. But they don’t have the best cable in the world. /A > On 12 Jun 2016, at 17:20, Dane Trethowan wrote: > > Some people are never happy are they . > > > > > > On 13/06/2016 1:17 AM, cov...@ccs.covici.com wrote: >> Only problem I see is keeping it from getting tangled -- 5 meters is >> quite long. >> >> Dane Trethowan wrote: >> >>> Owners of these cans are in for a very pleasant surprise, go to the >>> B&W home page, look up the P7, look under accessories and you'll find >>> a 5 Meter cable available which can be interchanged with the other >>> cables that came with the cans. >>> >>> I amongst other P7 users have been voicing our frustrations about the >>> lack of such a cable, up until now we've just had to slit on top of >>> our Hi-Fi units to enjoy these excellent headphones but now - with the >>> addition of this accessory - we can go bacou to reclining on our >>> couches to relax and enjoy the rich musical experience the P7 offers >>> whether you're on a mobile device or running it with your Hi-fi, its >>> your choice. >>> >>> The great news is that the cable isn't going to break your bank at >>> only $25 U.S. >>> >>> >>> -- >>> >>> ** >>> Those who don't need help are prepared to help themselves >>> >>> > > -- > > ** > Those who don't need help are prepared to help themselves > >

This looks very interesting, thanks. I've had a detailed look at the cheapest and the most expensive just out of interest. It strikes me as a blind consumer there's always the possibility that some modern design feature might make a good piece of kit unusable. For instance, the Monitor Audio Airstream S200 can select several types of input, including Bluetooth, USB, audio jack, Airplay and DLNA, but it's all done through one multi-select button. Sometimes without sound clues this can be a real pain. At the other end of the scale the Mu-so must sound fantastic but when I read it is controlled via on-screen controls I'd bet it would be impossible to actually operate by a totally blind user like myself. Still, at £895 I expect that's the least of my worries (smiles). Hi! Someone on this list wanted to know what was the best AirPlay speaker around? I mentioned the B&W A7 though I have to admit you do have to shell out an arm and a leg for one. Using Google I found a roundup of the best AirPlay speakers that others may wish to consult. The B&W A7 - whilst amongst the best - might be just out of range for a lot of people price wise so considering a good value for money alternative would therefore be a practical solution and that's where this guide comes in. are there any better than the B&W A7 AirPlay speaker system? Well this guide tells the story, there's always better but at a price too! http://www.whathifi.com/best-buys/best-airplay-speakers -- ** Those who don't need help are prepared to help themselves
Re: Olympus dm-720?
I do have another question about this recorder, which I've been playing with since yesterday when I got it.
