yes because it actually starts recording slightly before the scheduled time. this is noticeable when recording and splitting tracks regularly. its so you don't miss anything while its converting the files at the split point. solving windows 10 basic recording problems
I have a Lenovo tablet on which I used to be able to record using its built-in microphone, and, to some degree, a mediocre earbud mike plugged into the headphone jack. I had to wipe the machine, (or maybe I didn't have to, but I did,) then upgraded it to windows 10 anniversary. Now I can't make this work. The default recording device is the Connexant Smartaudio HD. When I go into its properties, the microphone is invariably muted and volume is at 0. I change these settings and the changes do not remain in effect. I had learned that it is unwise to have Skype control your microphone setting, but when I turn that Skype option on, I am able to use Skype. I am trying to record using the free virtual recorder program, and it works for capturing What You Hear but not the microphone. I have Goldwave, but find it doesn't work as well under windows 10 as it used to for me, likely because I haven't taken the time to re-learn it. Mainly, I would like the connexant audio Properties to remain in effect when I set them. Suggestions?
