Plantronics Audio 478 USB Headset thoroughly recommended
Hi! If you're looking for a good USB headset for Skype, VOIP or other chats from your computer then the Plantronics Audio 478 is worth the look. The headset is an over the ear type and is stereo, not terribly good for music but very nice for chatting. A boom microphone fols down from the left earpiece and it can be adjusted, the microphone is a noise cancelling type but still sounds very good, one of the best I've heard from this type of headset. The volume, mute etc is controlled by an inline control panel which features one programmable key, you might like to programme this to answer and end Skype calls for example. If that's not enough then the Plantronics Audio 478 can be folded away into a supplied nylon carry bag and packed into your Notebook or tablet case. I bought my first of these headsets 5 years ago and that particular unit is only now starting to show signs of wear. I have a couple of these headsets about the house. Great value for money at around $30. -- ** “Oh, I’m an activist and I’m OK / I sleep all night and I tweet all day.”
totally blind operating a webcam
Hi all, This discussion on cameras has lead me to ask a question of my own. I'm looking for a webcam that a totabbly blind person can use. I teach piano online using skype and facetime, and was wondering if there is a camera I can hook up to my ipad that can show my hands etc? As a blind person I'm not going to able to adjust it myself, so wondering if something will do the job. I heard there is a glasses one that works via bluetoth where it will focus on what I look at. Any ideas on how to operate a webcam blind? Thanks, Steph On 02/12/2016 1:08 am, Matthew Chaowrote: > > Hi, Andy. on the go Sound experiences, I don't think they come much better than this
I'm listening to Radiotunes.com via the Radiotunes.com Android App with my Samsung Galaxy s6 which is streaming the audio to the B T7 speaker, the sound stage presented by this speaker is utterly superb given this is an "on-The-Go" solution. Course I'm subscriber to Radiotunes.com so I get the better bit rates but - even if you don't subscribe - I know the radiotuens.com channels still sound pretty good. -- ** “Oh, I’m an activist and I’m OK / I sleep all night and I tweet all day.”

Re: Can a total operate a Go Pro camera guys
Hi John. No offer of a dog yet John unfortunately as I have not had a working guide dog since March 2015 so you don't need me to spell out what that means to your family and social life. Absolutely increditable eh? If I was still working in SW, I'd have lost my job by now. I've not been able to take John Turley up with his training sessions since March 2015. Such a shame. I'm not complaining, and I'm keeping my head down as I don't want to ruffle any feathers. The GDBA have told me that my priority cannot get any higher, so there is a huge problem at the moment with GDBA, if an experienced dog handler has to wait almost 2 years for a replacement. I'm a member of an English GD list and this long wait would appear common practice John throughout the UK and people are up in arms. Much of it has to do with the support the GDBA have offered to the Blind Children's Society, so I cannot complain too much can I really? As for the Gopro. You are of course absolutely right, but perhaps on an individual, rather than a policy level, something may be done. Perhaps not. I did discuss this matter with a member from another team in the past and we came to the conclusion, that any recording I had made and intended to post, would firstly go through the GDBA for approval, but this attitude is probably much hardened these days, as staff are feeling more and more threatened by members waiting for a service. The Chances of getting approval are probably very small, but if the process was vetted, It could prove a very powerful PR and awareness exersise , for the GDBA. Not going to hold my breath anyway John as the idea of buying a Gopro Hero 5 Black with 3D microphones becomes more and more complicated and complex and to be honest, I'm not sure how accessable these devices are, so I'll probably just wait for that call and ask them then, , I suppose. P.S. Which lap-top did you buy John? Was it a dell? Was the keys tactyle enough and did you get a good price? Very best wishes. So I'd probably go with your suggestion, but which of the Hero 5 range? Another complication is about fitments and attachments. I'd probably need sighted assistence to look at these pages for I don't really understand what they are, apart from a gun grip or extension pole. I'd like something to attach it to my upper chest and perhaps a similar attachment for my dog, for a dog's eye view of training. The final difficulty is that I notice that the 5 has an external mini-usb for connecting a 3D binaural microphone set up. I'd much rather this was a quarter inch socket. So it looks like I have quite a lot of work to do before I actually make my purchase. But it will be the Hero 5 right enough. Thanks again for your help. Very best wishes. Andy. Another TeamTalk Question.
Hi Folks: When creating a channel in TeamTalk, one can create both a channel password as well as a channel operator password. When i try an log on to the channel with the operator password, it doesn't work but the standard password does. Any thoughts? Thanks all over the place.
