Re: Listening to NHL Radio on-line
Actually, I found that going to a team's site does reveal the radio station on which they are carried, but you really have to dig for it. When you get on the site, search for the word radio. But it isn't always that easy. For instance, when you go on the Montreal Canadiens site, you have to get past all the French/English stuff before you even get to the page where you can look for the word radio. When you find it, the call letters for the station will be somewhere around there. Another option is to use Google. Look for something like, senators radio if you want to hear the Ottawa Senators. When I returned my T30, I happened to get a nice lady who was willing to check in the back room for me and that resulted in the 899 I wouldn't have had if I would have just trusted the first person I spoke with on the phone who said they didn't have any remaining in stock. Just a thought. Sometimes, just a tad of persistence really can pay off big. Of course, since the model has been discontinued, it may be extremely likely that no local stores have any in stock. If you're sufficiently adventurous, you may want to check Ebay, maybe overstock.com, etc. There is, for example, an iRiver IFP 899 available at overstock.com for $154. Re: Latency in sound forge 6
Well, I am using Sound Forge 8 and I mixed a voice track and a music track together just to make sure that it would work, and it did with no problem. One thing you should watch, make sure that if your music track is in stereo that the voice track is also in stereo, and at the two tracks are at the same sampling rate. I know that we are not using the same version of Sound Forge, but I don't know if that makes a difference or not. You say that it mixed correctly on another PC. Re: limewire with JFW 5.1
Well, I fooled around with Limewire sometime last year and got it to work a bit. Of course, if you are using JFW, you have to use the Java Access Bridge. Basically, it was a matter of having Jaws anounce all the graphics characters and clicking on them to see what happens. It was a long and tedious process. I didn't really need to use it, so I left it alone after a while. With sighted help, it shouldn't take too long to label the graphics characters. Luck! (3) when files are vbr it does NOT correctly display the time remaining or the time used on the disk by such files in the info (0) report.
