Hi Mari,

there's a Jaws guide to wmp 11 which is available at:
http://tinyurl.com/2hwmrn

It was written for wmp 11 running on Windows XP, but I think the only
section which is different on Vista is the CD Drive Autoplay section.

David.

Setting Recording Levels in Vista

2009-02-18 Thread Mari Dole
Hello,

This is the third time I've sent this, and I don't think it's getting
through. It may be my inexperience with Vista. Anyway, I would be very
grateful if any other Vista users could tell me how to set recording levels.
Also, are there any shortcuts to reach the record tab? Thank you very much
for your help.

Setting Recording Levels in Vista

2009-02-17 Thread Mari Dole
Greetings Everyone,

My old computer of eight years finally died and I now have a new one, with
the dreaded Vista operating system. If anyone uses this OS, could you please
tell me how to set recording levels, especially for a USB microphone. Many
thanks.

Automation Programs for Internet Radio

2005-10-12 Thread Mari Dole
Hello,

Has anyone had experience with a program called MP3 DJ? Would this
program work with JAWS or another screen reader? I am in hopes that we
could use this program to schedule files to play at specific times. Are
there any other programs that people are aware of that would allow us to
schedule songs, commercials and promos to play at specific times or in
specific order?

Thanks for your help.

RE: JAWS-supported Sound Editors

2005-10-01 Thread Mari Dole
Windows xp, home edition. Before I installed the service pack, it worked
just fine. Afterward, the computer becomes more and more sluggish as I
work on a compilation. There is no problem if I'm simply copying a CD,
but if I use media player, (version 10.0) to play the tracks from the
CDs I am using for the compilation, that's when I have this trouble.

JAWS-supported Sound Editors

2005-09-30 Thread Mari Dole
Hi List,

Many thanks to all who answered my query. I shall go check out Goldwave.
I already have Nero 6.something, but, since installing Service Pack 2,
it doesn't do compilations very well--but that's another issue. Thanks
again.

Marry;

I have nero 6.0 with jaws 5.1 and windows xp home. I also have service
pack
2 (if i remember correctly). It works for me. Just make sure that when
you
go to nero start smart, and click on audio cd or mp3 etc etc, tab until
you
hear nero. Press enter and you'll be presented with a much easier to
use
program, nero burning rom SE.

Which Sound-editing Programs Does JAWS Support

2005-09-29 Thread Mari Dole
Hello List,

I am an amateur (meaning one who loves) audio producer who is so
frustrated, I may go back to analog! I wonder if any of you could tell
me if there is a simple sound-editing program which is supported by JAWS
out of the box, i.e. does not require additional scripts? I need to do
the following tasks:

Record, edit, mix sound and burn Cds. I don't need a lot of effects.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Accessible Automation Programs

2005-08-30 Thread Mari Dole
Hello Everyone,

I work as a volunteer for an internet radio reading service, and we
would like to be able to schedule programming which we have recorded
live, such as the local newspaper, which we broadcast in the morning,
for repetition later in the day. Is there any accessible software which
would allow a totally blind person to do this? We would also like to do
other program scheduling as well.

Thank you for any help.

Soundforge Script Help

2004-04-28 Thread Mari Dole
Hello,

This is a message I sent to Jim Snowbarger regarding problems with
scripts for JFW.

Hello, I am hoping that you can help with a few problems we are having.
We have purchased scripts for JFW 4.51 and SoundForge 6.0. The .zip
file for JFW 4.XX was unzipped and copied into the \settings\enu folder.
When we start Sound Forge 6.0 and press the JFW command insert-Q, JFW
reports that SoundForge scripts 6.23 for JFW 5 are loaded. Remember
that we are using JFW 4.51. We have also found that the keyboard command
insert-H which calls the list of commands is not formatted correctly.
There are several commands in about the middle of the list that appear
to be spanning more than one line Some of the keyboard commands are not
working either. Any help you could provide would be greatly
appreciated.

Hi,

I burn directly from source CDs. The player I am using does not play MP3

Nero. Thanks for any help.

Hi Mari.

Do you create your compilations directly from source CD's or do you tend
to rip to your hard drive first?

If you rip to your hard drive first, what format do you use WAV or MP3?

If you use MP3, the best program I've found to get all of your music at
a similar volume level is MP3GAIN which is a very easy to use piece of
freeware.

Regards.
