Hi Folks,
Considering all of the attention pertaining to awareness and accessibility,
indeed, there should have been descriptive video, an (audio track) inserted.
I think that they honestly should have thought about that and included it.

Nothing wrong with video, but it should have been more useful to blind
viewers, with audio explanations of what was on screen. I got very little
out of it.

What's wrong with making a youtube video?
everything else is in text. the web page is text, the project sight is
text, etc. What is wrong with a video so that sighted people can
actually see the thing?
and if they're trying to get it premoted that is because they need
backing. I don't see anything wrong with that.
I really think people should be told about this.

The video is mostly meant for sighted people, but do read the web sight
it

is

much more detailed.
You can save things on it I'm guessing, sinse it mentions being able to

save

the face of a loved one etc so I'm guessing that there are presets
somewhere in there.

The potential of this thing is enormous, you guys must realise that.
No more wondering what something in a shop is with this as one tiny
example.

read subtitles.
To me the longlasting battery isn't as important as other features.
Saving information and clearly putting it to something the device
picks up, seems to me rather difficult.
How do we know, i.e. who or what exactly we're looking at?
It's also quite difficult, I find, with all the audio information we
have to pick up already. I don't think that I'd want another
additional information channel streaming into my brain.

Re: need helping with humming on blue yeti pro.

2014-02-15 Thread Pat Seed

Hi Angel and Everyone,
I was waiting to see if someone would bring this up. Yes, you will still get
a hum because the boom arm is attached to the desk.
And, yes, I am hoping, if you want to use a boom, that there is one
specifically for the Blue Yeti. It is a Heavy and Expensive Mic, and I,
myself, would not use a boom. I would sit it, as has been previously
suggested, on a piece of foam. Now, if you do not have foam, you might be
able to use a soft covered Braille book instead.

I also would not detach the Yeti from the desk stand. The desk stand is
quite sturdy, and meant to hold this Expensive Professional Mic.

I hope that this helps.
Blessings and All the Very Best,
Pat

two questions or three.
first question the boom arm it attaches to my desk via a clip right? if
this is the way it attaches, won't the humming from the fan under the desk
still come through because of the boom arm is attached?
second question, can I get any boom arm or one that is made for the blue
yeti pro. third and last question, sorry if this sounds dumb, will I have
to take the yeti off the desk stand or can I attach it to the boom arm as
is.

thanks so much again.

it or not - they're available right from the Apple Store which means
express free shipping etc so an order has been placed smile.

Whatever mic you are using you will get this problem if its sitting
directly above
the computer. I've moved my Rode mic over to another purch to the
side of the
desk, and though its not very convenient it cuts down the hum and
vibration quite a

bit.

I speak pretty close to the mic without encouraging pops. Sometimes I
use a bit of

base roll-off in the audio editor.

One more thing which can help is a mic shock mount, which should
isolate the mic

from stand-borne noise.

Hope some of that helps.

Ray.

is there anything I could do for this. some one suggested a boom arm, but

Hi,
I guess I have been fortunate with this particular mouse pad.

The microphone is heavy, so care needs to be taken that it is stable.
Movement even makes noise.

It is an Extremely Excellent Mic, but Very Sensitive.
