Hi all. I just received Soundforge 8.0. Like some have mentioned on this
list, when I try to install it, I get a message, saying: Requires
Microsoft.NET Framework." Why does Soundforge need the Microsoft.NET, in
order to install it? What is Microsoft.NET supposed to do for us?

I normally just burn an image of the CD to my HD, then burn that image onto
the blank CD. If you require further detail on how to do this, contact me

Re: looking for a good Microphone for computer voice chat.

2005-04-29 Thread Rod Alcidonis
any good music store, ebay, musicianfriends.com samedaymusic.com Z zound,
music123.com Samash.com, etc. Many places.
You don't need an expensive mic for what you want to do. And make sure you
get fantom power for the mic, or ask for one that does not require fantom
power. Or, ask for a good dynamic mic. Most Condensers run on Fantom power.
but I also believe that a good dynamic mic will do the job as well. but
condenser is neeter.

HellO!
Someone asked for a week or so about autotuning software which was
accessible for the blind.
I haven't seen any on this topic since then.
I am just trying antares autotuning software.
But its quite inaccessible.
For those who do not know what autotuning is.
ITs used to make the tunes right when you are singing or playing.
If you listen ti the song belive with Cher you can hear her voices through
an autotuner.

here is the best way I can ask my question.

How can I determine the frequencies I want to get rid of in a project if I
cannot know them by ear? And, cannot see the graphs? Strategies, tips.

Understanding frequency

2005-04-17 Thread Rod Alcidonis
Hi, guys, exactly as the subject suggests. What is the best way to
understand frequency. Especially when listening to a project to remove or
add one. In other words, it's been said that you can remove certain
frequency on a project, such as a vocal trak; first, how would you
identify that frequency and remove it, or, identify what you need and keep
it.

you guys can tell that i am just beginning with audio recording, and I am
looking to enhance my understanding in that territory. Take care!

Again, nice to meet you all!
