Determining Time of Clip using Goldwave

2009-10-19 Thread Tai Blas
I am attempting to make ring tones with Goldwave and need to figure out how
to determine the length of the sound clip I create. How is this done? I
cannot seem to get the Jaws scripts to work the way they are supposed to and
I think they might accomplish this. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, this is what I am looking for, but this does not work for me. Is this a
function of the Jaws scripts?

Tai: If you set a beginning marker at the beginning of your recording and
then set and end marker, pressing alt plus shift plus d is supposed to work.
I did this in a file just now and it told me the length of my selection.
Is this what you're after?

How much memory would you want? I have a new zen stone that I am
willing to sell.

It can be done through Explorer, but the iPod in question must be set
up with iTunes first to allow this. If you have iTunes installed, or
know someone who does, have them check the disk use box on the device
main page.

Yes, I have these scripts but soundtaxi is not working for me for some
reason. It is not converting the files in my designated folder.

Sorry, but I use SoundTaxi Pro with JAWS. I think I had to use the
JAWS cursor originally to get it set up, but now whenever I start
SoundTaxi Pro it comes up in the file wizard and once I select the
file(s) I want to convert it just starts the conversion process. I use
the JAWS cursor to check on the progress and results of the conversion.

Hi. Have any of you used DRM removal programs with Jaws successfully?
If so, which have you used? I purchased SoundTaxi pro only to find
that it does not work well for jaws users. I also tried protected
music converter pro which keeps telling me that I do not have the
licenses I need to convert files even though I am subscribed to
Napster and do have the appropriate licenses.

 Thanks.
 Tai

Goldwave Scripts?

2009-09-06 Thread Tai Blas
I have just purchased Goldwave. I started by listening to Rick Harmon's
podcast on Goldwave and noticed that many features he was able to use did
not work for me. I pasted the latest script files into my jaws 10 folder
under settings and enu where the rest of my scrip files appear to be. I used
scripts for goldwave version 1.58. When I tried the Insert 3 command on the
number pad, I do not get any of the file duration and time information for
the portions that I have selected and copied to my new sound file using
markers. Also, when starting and ending recordings, Jaws does not announce
anything.
Is there a written tutorial on using Jaws with Goldwave?

Thanks.
Tai
