Hi Jim,

I have two suggestions that might help here. First of all if the
computer is running Window-Eyes 7.11 perhaps using Winamp with Jeff
Bishop's excellent scripts for Winamp available at www.gwmicro.com/sc
might

be suitable. The second suggestion is a product called Digital Jukebox
from Marvelsoft. This product for Windows is a talking jukebox designed
to be used by blind people. It can either be used in a self-voicing
mode or with a screen reader. For more information about this product
go to www.braillebookstore.com/view.php?T=Digital+Jukebox. I haven't
tried this product so I don't know how well it works.

Regards Steve.

Hi, is there something out there that would turn my computer in to a

songs to play and hopefully it would work well with window-eyes and maybe
be

free or not very expensive?

Actually I've found that this space bar pausing only works when you have
Jaws loaded. If you unload Jaws, only the C key pauses, and the space bar
does nothing.
Thanks a lot.

file
conversion, how to add, pauses and change voices within a file, use the
pronunciation editor to change the way words are spoken, and more.

After listening to this tutorial, it is guaranteed you will be able to
obtain the software, and use it to convert text-based material into an
audio
format which should be pleasing to listen to on a portable player.

I am quite happy with Cd Burner xp, for which I did a fairly complete
review

on Tek Talk. It's free.

Does anyone have an audio cd burn program, free or paid, Jaws friendly and
easy to understand and burn music cd's?? Any information appreciated. I
have Windows Media, Roxio and infrareccorder non of which I can use.
Windows Media did burn about 10 discs and will not resume burning.
regards,

Don

Hi. A few days ago someone posted a message stating that to use Napster
with
a screen reader, it was necessary to access using their web based
interface.
Since I'm considering giving napster a try among other services, I have a
couple of questions. First, if I'm downloading from a web based interface
rather than using their software, is there still something that I need to
download as a subscriber in order to download files? Second, When
accessing
on the web can one do everything that other users accomplish with
downloaded
  software?

These may sound like beginner questions but my only recent downloading
experience is with Emusic. Very easy to use and super reliable, but their
selection, though interesting, eclectic and with some excellent choices
also has a ton of gaps when it comes to many major artists. So I'm looking

around. No problem paying a bit. I just want it to work.

Hi. Wow, this really seems to be becoming a problem! I have an idea.
The next time that dialogue pops up, try hitting the key combination
alt n for no. in that dialogue there's a yes button, a no button and
a checkbox to determine wether or not it checks for updates.
I don't know if that'll do any good because when it pops up for a lot
of folks their speech seems to stop working. But if you hit alt plus
n the box will go away and then you can go into preferences and turn it
 off.
 Hope that helps.

Demo copies of Nero Cd/DVD burning suites of programs can be
downloaded at:

http://www.nero.com/eng/Downloads.html

Many find Nero 6 has better access than version 7, though I don't know
what the position is regarding JFW scrips. They are launching version
8 just now and I've heard no comments as yet as to its accessability
friendliness. (Nero do seem to break accessability in upgrades, so be
careful.)

Hi. I have successfully used this service with Jaws and IE7 and absolutely
love it! Did you install the required Amazon Downloader? In order to
download albums, you need this helper application, which by the way is
accessible. If you download individual songs, you don't need the
downloader, but you do if you want to download albums. Also, could it be
that your firewall or browser security settings are keeping it from
downloading? Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.
I plan to write up a mini tutorial on this service this evening. I think it
is absolutely wonderful, as there is no DRM, and you can play the tracks on
any player you want and burn them to a CD too.

High,
You are a little off topic.
However, if it is a CDRW, this can be done.
But if it is a plane CDR, give up on doing that.
Because CDRS are write once only CDs.

You move across the grooves. The direction is immaterial, as long as you

When I go to this page:

and refresh the page, it is still there, and I can access links from
it, namely the FAQ.

Hi Michael,

This depends on what program you use to play the OGG file. I use
Winamp to play Ogg Vorbis files and if you press Alt three either
while the file is playing or after you've played the file a dialogue
box will appear with a lot of information about the file including
the bit rate.
