Re: Winamp Scripts

You can just download it from:
http://members.optusnet.com.au/bnfiles/winamp4jfw.zip

That's easier than sending it out many times.

Try pressing Up Arrow in Winamp while a file is playing to see if volume
increases. It should increase.

Subject: Winamp Volume problem

I have a strange issue with the volume in WINAMP that I never used to have.
In order to get WINAMP volume at a decent level, I need to turn my main
speakers up quite loud. This makes JAWS volume way over the top. I decided
to go into volume control and adjust my WAV volume so JAWS would speak
quieter, and WINAMP would be loud enough. Apparently WINAMP isn't
 controlled
by the Master volume, and when I lower JAWS, it also lowered WINAMP to
 where
I could barely hear it. How can I get the WINAMP volume to be acceptable,
and yet still have JAWS lowered enough that it's not yelling at me? I'm
using JAWS 8 and WINAMP 5.32. I'm planning to upgrade to 5.34. I have a
Santa Cruise Turtle Beach sound card, but there doesn't seem to be any
 place
to adjust for volume there. Thanks.

 Vicki

Hello Tom,
Read this thred very carefully.
By doing so, you will see that this is a problem that blind computer users
incounters from time to time.
Don't be so quick to shoot a fellow blind person down for trying to get help
with a problem like this one.
Did you ever try to use a Flash player with Jaws or Window Eyes?
If you have, then you understand the problem.
If you haven't, then there is no way that you can expeshaly if you're in a
situation ware you're told you have to have this thing.
That's what this is all about.
Isn't PC Audio about helping blind computer users, or not?

Re: Skype. Should I upgrade?

2007-04-08 Thread Timothy Wynn
Hi,

Q. If I do upgrade do I have to get rid of these scripts and install the
newer ones?
A. No, you can just install the newer scripts on top of your old ones.

Q. do I have to completely uninstall skip or can I install overtop of what I
have.
A. You can just install the newer version of skip on top of the old version.

Q. What's the newest version I can use with Jaws and what benefits would I
get compared to what I have now.
A. The newest version of skip that you can use is either 3.1 or 3.2 beta.
I'm not sure what the benefits are but, one is a better sound quality.

Hope that helps!

Subject: Skype. Should I upgrade?

Hi, Joe here. I'm using skype 2.5.0.151. I realize when your using a screen
reader like Jaws as I am using Jaws 7, newer is not always better when it
comes to upgrading other programs. Skype is working well and I have no
problems with it. I also use scripts for skype. If I do upgrade do I have to
get rid of these scripts and install the newer ones? do I have to completely
uninstall skype or can I install overtop of what I have. Last question.
What's the newest version I can use with Jaws and what benefits would I get
compared to what I have now. That's a lot of questions, but I want to cover
everything. I'm not one of those who has to have the newewst software just
because its out especially if what I have is still working well. Thanks.
Joe.
