Hi back, i found this thing called IE web or something close to that. but
it is a total copy of IE explorewr but only with text and especially for
blind users. But when you download it, you also get about 5 other small
programs with it and a few of these are excellent for searching pod
casts, loading pod casts and playing pod casts. You don't have to use all
of them or even load them but they work well with my xp home windows jaws
set up. I still use the normal windows IE but for pod cast searches I
relally like this IE web and it might be IEwebber.com or something like
that.
I cannot go to it right now, I am on the phone typing this and oh wait a

minute?web IE3 but it is something you might want to try and then if you
don't like it, just remove it which is easy.

hi Fazil

i'm experiencing the same thing with audio stream on my winamp and screamer
radio. i too am not sure what's causing all this. but my friends are telling
me that this buffering thing could be due to my poor connection.
this could be true as i'm noticing that the connection keeps fluctuating all
day especially during peak hours in the daytime.

Hi back, textaloud is a great program. I only wished they had higher end
voices. But there is another program that is toatlly free, and actually
does more than textaloud. It is called Dspeech.
There are a few features that TA does not have. The help files are not
very good but if you take the time, and learn all its little ticks it
does very good. The builder asks for a donation.
I'm searching for thoase La.../ voices which are very real but very
expensive. Anyone out there have or want to get rid of soemthing they
might not use any longer?

Re: cd recorders help please

2007-09-01 Thread golden
hi John

this is what i do.

1. launch sound recorder

2. load your .wav file. depending on your recording, load a 30-minute audio
file or longer if your recording is about that long.

3. ctrl r to start recording. (of course, make sure all your recording
settings are correct before starting recording).

4. ctrl s or simply hit spcbar to pause/stop.

you also have the editor, sound mixing and sound effects handy for you in
this often forgotten little tool comes packaged with your xp.
hope that helps.

hi Sean

i always use the default sound recorder for all my recording purposes.
surprised! people might ask how is that possible when it allows recording up
to only 1 minute. well, there's a trick to it. simply load a .wav file as
long as the recording you wish to do and there you are, you are ready to do
your recording.
happy trying.

hi Sarah

actually, you can trick sound recorder to record audio much longer than
that, depending on your RAM, of course.
but i thought the person was asking about sound editing and not audio
recording.
i've tried sound editing for my classes and it worked perfectly.

Hi,

Can you use Jaws through the bluetooth headset? I use window-eyes so it
probably would be hard for me to help you out.

Subject: Bluetooth headphones and PC

Okay, I give up! How do I play music through my bluetooth headphones
without using the little transmitter? My bluetooth headphones and computer
are supposedly seeing each other, but I can't seem to hear music through the

headphones, just the speaker. What setting am I missing? I'm thinking
about getting into Skype and have been told that if I use the little
transmitter that comes with the headphones, I can't do Skype. This
headphone is supposed to have a little mike with it. Any help would be
greatly appreciated!

Kathy

John,
BTW, my nbame is Dana, NOT Donna.

As I mentioned, the URLs appeared immediately *above* their respective
stream names. I know that is confusing, but that is how they are organized
in winamp.bm, from which I copied and pasted them. The entire string above
each stream name, up to, at least, the first question mark, needs to be
plugged into Winamp's location bar. If you still have trouble with this, go
to my Media page:
http://members.cox.net/dsleslie2/media.shtml,
where I have made links out of these URLs; play the streams from there, and
bookmark them for yourself.

I believe these streams will only play in Winamp. You aren't trying to play
them in some other player; are you?

Good luck.

Blessed Be,

Dana

Re: ogg file won't play in Sound forge

2006-08-21 Thread golden
i have another problem with soundforge. my attempt to mix music and voice
gives me this kind of prompt:

Sony Sound Forge 8.0

The source sample rate is lower than the destination sample rate.

This difference in sample rates will cause the source data to play faster
and sound higher pitched in the final mix.

Sample rates can be changed while preserving pitch using the Resample
function under the Process menu.

Are you sure you want to continue?

Yes No

any suggestions for its fixes please?

thanks.

Re: Sound Forge Presentation Available

2006-08-04 Thread golden
hi Kelley
i have listened to your wonderful presentation on soundforge and i want to
thank you for the superb job done.
i have a question though. my apologies if this sounds dumb. i must admit
that i am new to soundforge.
i'd like to know what keystrokes to press to play selected audio or to play
audio up to the cursor position. this is very useful when doing editting
audio.
looking forward to hear from you.
thank you in advance.

Re: Windows SAPI 5 problems.

2006-06-30 Thread golden
hi Simon
yes, i managed to download and run SayPad eventually. i have also changed
the speech engine to Mary both in SayPad and in Speech under control panel.
but surprisingly this only works while in saypad. it ceases to function when
i close saypad. i still get the default sam whenever i run narrator.
is there a way to set Mary speech engine permanently in narrator as opposed
to default sam voice?
your advice is greatly appreciated. apologise for my broken English as
English is not my native language.
thank you in advance.
