2 CD burner questions
Hi, this is Steve with 2 CD burning questions. First, if I am burning a lot of CDs in a single session, would I need to take a break at some point because of the heat of the burner, and possibly causing errors? Second, is there a ball park figure of the life of a burner which is used fairly regularly? thank you ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: 2 CD burner questions
Steve, I regularly burn a number of CD's in a session and have experienced no problems. As to lifetime of the burner, I've probably burned in excess of 100 CD's with this burner so far and no signs of any problems there either. Re: 2 CD burner questions
As far as your first question goes, reboot every once in a while. For the second question, most lasers run fairly cool now-a-days, but if you want to know the answer to that question you have to look at the specs for the particular drive. - Original Message - From: stever2525 [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. Re: 2 CD burner questions
How come you say to reboot? What's the purpose? If it has something to do with not working the CD drive/burner too hard, why not just stop burning CDs for a few minutes or hours or whatever? Am I missing something? I'd love to know how to take bst care of my equipment. - Original Message - From: Tim Grady [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list.
