It's pretty audacious, I can say that after first exposure.

Please respond either on the list or privately if you can help.

 Complaints:

 1. Help file is only quickie-ref. I did download the full docs, but
 they're little better.

 2. The docs talk about pressing varicolored buttons on the screen to
make things happen. Every button on the tool bar that I click with
the mouse causes the program to minimize. Nothing plays, I can't
 start a recording, nothing.

 3. Where have all the hot keys gone? I think I tried just about
every key combination and the program didn't do a thing, except for ^P
for preferences, and I think ^I might have been to import a file.

 4. Where are the transport controls? How does one place the audio
cursor at a particular point on the waveform (in the file, if you
like)? The menus have options for moving the cursor to the beginning
 or end, but naught else.

 5. Ditto selection markers. Where are they and how are they used?

Am I expecting too much of this software? Is this not what it's made
for? Should I just go back to Sound Forge and forgetaboutitall? I'm
trying to learn it not only for my own benefit, but others who want to
do audio editing and cannot afford or do not wish to afford Sound
Forge or Goldwave want to know whether the alternative does the job.
I'm so frustrated with it, I'm about ready to say a big fat no. And I
don't usually get this frazzled this quickly.

Now, where's that Zannex? Oh, right here, next to the Altase. Think
I'll have one of each! (Zannex is for anxiety, Altase is for high
blood pressure, both of which this program has certainly given me if I
 didn't have them before! HAHHAH!)
