Audacity question

2014-01-25 Thread Johny Cassidy
Hi there

I've been happily using audacity to put a project together. However,
something's happened now that is confusing me. I am trying to use a multi
track setting to load tracks in one after the other. This was going fine but
now I seem to be stuck in a table view. I can't arrow up and down to go to
individual tracks. I don't know what I've done. Any ideas?

Thanks and apologies for the duel posting.

Johny

Re: another audacity question

Why not turn your computer speakers up, so that the headset mic picks up the
JFW?

If your sound card has a master control mixer that can hear the mic in and
the JFW audio, that might work too.

Would Audacity record from 2 devices simultaneously? I bought a USB
 headset
and want to post software reviews for MainMenu or a podcast, how would I
 get
the JFW audio in? My thought was starting 2 simultaneous recordings and
mixing them down, would audacity work for that, or must I buy one of the
other programs like Goldwave and start it as close to the same time as I
 can
and edit off the extraneous stuff to make the times sync?

 Hi again,
How do you tell audacity how to start a selection let's say at a
specific point and how to stop the selection. Does anybody find this
program useful? I normally use a program called fast edit which does cost
a little but I wouldn't mind trying out an alternative.
