RE: Goldwave Question About Batch Conversion and Errors
Hi. Yes there is. Firstly make sure your extensions are turned on otherwise this won't work. If they are turned on then go to the folder where you have your 7000 plus files but don't open it. Go to your application key and find the search option and then put in the edit box .AIFF and then either hit enter or tab to search. This will bring up all the .AIFF files in the folder. Select all and cut or copy the files and place them in a new folder or somewhere else where you can examine them. Hope this helps. Re: Batch Conversion With Sound Taxi
Arthur, I also have the pro version of Sound Taxi, and as far as I can tell, the only extra conversion speed you get is if you are converting more than one file at a time. Converting more than one file simultaneously does seem to be slightly faster than would be converting them serially one after the other. So, in converting a single file, the Pro version won't perform faster than the Platinum version. The claim for faster conversion on the Sound Taxi web site does not go out of its way to make this distinction clear, as I learned after I bought the Pro version. - Original Message - From: "Arthur Barney" To: "PC Audio Discussion List" Sent: Thursday, January 29, 2009 8:13 AM Subject: Re: Batch Conversion With Sound Taxi Hi Robert Doc Wright, what version of soundtaxi are you using? Re: Batch Conversion With Sound Taxi
Hi Robert Doc Wright, what version of soundtaxi are you using? I've used Platinum, and now I'm using pro, which is suppose to be 50 time faster. I don't see any difference, and I have a quad core computer, with 3 gigs of ram. I converted a 82 Mb file, and it took 3 hours. If you know of any way to speed this up, let me know. Re: Batch conversion.
Hi Anders. I'd use windows explorer to view the folder and set the view options so that the arrange icons by menu is set to type. You'll then see all of your WAV files together. Cut and paste themn to another folder and then use CDEX to re-encode them to OGG. Regards.
