RE: Goldwave Question About Batch Conversion and Errors

2010-07-23 Thread Walter Ramage
Hi. Yes there is. Firstly make sure your extensions are turned on
otherwise this won't work. If they are turned on then go to the folder
where you have your 7000 plus files but don't open it. Go to your
application key and find the search option and then put in the edit box
.AIFF and then either hit enter or tab to search. This will bring up all
the .AIFF files in the folder. Select all and cut or copy the files and
place them in a new folder or somewhere else where you can examine them.
Hope this helps. Walter.

Subject: Goldwave Question About Batch Conversion and Errors

I just converted over seven thousand .AIFF files using Goldwave's
batch converter. The report at the end showed 51 errors. I've tried
everything I could think of to view those errors, with the exception
of going through the entire list of 7294 files to find the ones that
did not convert. Is there any other way to find these?

Can Sound Taxi or some other batch conversion program preserve the artist
and album folder structure when converting a batch of ripped CD's from WMA
lossless to MP3 format?

I bought Sound Taxi. And I have also tried Easy CD-DA Extractor. I
specify
the output target root folder. I select the artist folders in the
lossless

CD directory. When I perform the conversion, Sound Taxi says "conversion
complete" very quickly, but nothing happens. Easy CD-DA Extractor does
not

even enable the Convert option unless I drill down and specifically select
the .WMA files.

Is there a setting or procedure that will let me preserve the artist and
album folder structure when converting files in batch?

If not, do you know of another accessible program that will accomplish
this?

How do you convert a batch of ripped CD's for playing in an MP3 player?

Re: Batch Conversion With Sound Taxi

2009-01-29 Thread graham stoodley
Arthur, I also have the pro version of Sound Taxi, and as far as I can
tell, the only extra conversion speed you get is if you are converting
more than one file at a time. Converting more than one file
simultaneously does seem to be slightly faster than would be
converting them serially one after the other. So, in converting a
single file, the Pro version won't perform faster than the Platinum
version. The claim for faster conversion on the Sound Taxi web site
does not go out of its way to make this distinction clear, as I
learned after I bought the Pro version.

Hi Robert Doc Wright,
what version of soundtaxi are you using?
I've used Platinum, and now I'm using pro, which is suppose to be 50
time
faster.
I don't see any difference, and I have a quad core computer, with 3
gigs of
ram.
I converted a 82 Mb file, and it took 3 hours.
If you know of any way to speed this up, let me know.
Thanks,

I've used Platinum, and now I'm using pro, which is suppose to be 50 time
faster.
I don't see any difference, and I have a quad core computer, with 3 gigs
of

ram.
I converted a 82 Mb file, and it took 3 hours.
If you know of any way to speed this up, let me know.
Thanks,

I just purchased Sound Taxi to convert my digital music from WMA lossless
to
MP3 format to play in an MP3 player. Are there JAWS scripts or a

Hi Anders.

I'd use windows explorer to view the folder and set the view options so that
the arrange icons by menu is set to type. You'll then see all of your WAV
files together. Cut and paste themn to another folder and then use CDEX to
re-encode them to OGG.

Regards.
