Re: Burnning and Ripping Cd's with winamp and windows media player

2011-09-17 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I don't remember what version of WMP I was using, but using JFW 11 and
Windows XP Pro I thought ripping CD's with WMP was pretty trivial. It
required setting up the preferences first, which again I didn't think
was that hard. It also means using WMP, which also takes some getting
used to, but then so does Winamp. Using WMP became the way I typically
ripped CD's. Prior to that, I'd been using CDex, but I was finding more
and more CD's that CDex was having trouble ripping; CD's that WMP didn't
have any trouble with. Note that I haven't used WMP or Winamp for
burning CD's. Also note that I've never used Winamp to rip a CD. I don't
have Winamp Pro, and I've heard Winamp is pretty slow for ripping CD's.
Finally, note that I am not an audiophile, so I go with convenience and
ease of use over sound quality that I'm not going to appreciate anyway.
