Converting MPG files to AVI or other formats

Hi!

I haven't as yet found an accessible utility for doing this, does  
anyone here know of one?


I use the excellent DVD Re-Do software to edit my video, its quite  
accessible and will let me prepare DVD projects but I don't have  
anything to convert formats yet.

paces now.
