Watch out for FileZilla Version 3, though, you don't want that one, you want the earlier Version 2 because in Version 3 they changed the whole layout and accessibility thing and they broke it bad. FileZilla also has another annoying problem, and the reason it's annoying is because not everybody (including the developers) experiences it. The problem is that for some reason, entire folders of files cannot be uploaded for certain users. It's not a protection or permissions problem, since other clients (like FTP Voyager) do it right, but the FileZilla folks can't figure it out! On the pay side, the two most popular and accessible are FTP Voyager from Rhinosoft, and CuteFTP from Globalscape. Some folks have also had great success with Flash FXP and claim it's more stable than the other two. While sticking to the RFC like glue, they all do basically the same things, but Voyager, when talking to its companion product Serf-U, extends the FTP command set, yielding such features as resuming broken-link downloads, which the standard RFC does not support. If you're going to be talking to a Serv-U a lot, Voyager's the one to get. If not, FieZilla or FTP Explorer will do, just watch out for that folder upload problem. Ipswitch has a very nice client out, called WS-FTP, whic many sighted people have tried to get me to use, but its accessibility leaves a lot to be desired. For instance, it displays both side of the connection on the screen just like the others do, but all the movement within and between these panels must be done with the mouse. TAB doesn't move you, arrows don't change anything, it's all mouse-bound. I've never seen a program like it. Good, they say; accessible, not.
