Help with voiceovers in Sound Forge (Matthew Bullis)

2009-09-24 Thread aymeric vildieu
Hi:
To use the voiceover function I sugest the following:
Press control m
Which is the shortcut for
dit - mix.
Then in the rop-down list, use the voiceover which is the last option of
the list and it should work just fine.
Of course, before that you need to copy your whole voice file in order to
mix it in the music file.
Hope it helps.

Hi, Amyeric! What version of Soundforge has the voice-over feature? Just
curious. Sounds easier than trying to figure out what per centage to change
your background music to! Smile. I'm using Soundforge 6 which I don't
think has that nice feature.

Peace,
Kathy

Oh yes. You have the option of voice over useage in Sound Forge. Jonathan
used it in his tutorial of version 4.5.

Thanks a lot.

Help with voiceovers in Sound Forge

2009-09-23 Thread Matthew Bullis
Hello, I'm using Sound Forge 9 right now. It's been about nine years since I
used the voice over options, specifically the one where the music lowers in
response to the voice on another file. Where do I find this option again,
and how do I go about it? I need a refresher course. Also, is it possible to
render just the files separately, such as getting the processed music file
with the volume drop in music, but not the voice? I'm not sure if the music
file could then be used with other voice files, since the volume drop
depends on the specific qualities and volume of the voice that was used in
the first place. So direction on this would be helpful.

Thanks a lot.

Hello. I have Sound Forge 9, but have trouble editing. Does
Window-eyes 7.1 work well with 9, and if not, what's the
workaround?--Matthew Chao

Voiceover is also a term for overlaying voice over a piece of music. It is
also a screenreader for the Mac, but that's not what Mr. Matthew Bullis is
talking about.

Save the original music file and work with a copy when trying to duck it
down. It has changed, but try to get the Mosen or Hardgen (spelled wrong)
tutorials. They both cover this.
