Re[2]: How to extract sound from video files?
Hello Brent, On Monday, July 31, 2006, 3:16:06 PM, you bellowed the following: but I want Winamp in focus to use my remote control I got with my Snapstream package, which I think just sends arrow keys to Winamp when it's in focus. That's boring. Someone should write something that will communicate directly to the Winamp API, so it doesn't need to be in focus all the time. Surely something like that exists? -- Good Tuesday, -- Patrick Perdue (MCP, CNA) KE4DYI Greensboro, NC website: http://www.pdaudio.net home: +1(828)221-2971 Mobile phone and SMS: +1(336)509-5583 e-mail and .net messenger: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For anything related to the yamaha motif line of keyboards and modules, subscribe to the motif-help mailing list by sending a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Re: Re[2]: How to extract sound from video files?
Yeah, I think they chose a stupid way to do that, relying on the keyboard commands. I figured that behavior out by curiosity with Allinplay that the arrows worked, and the numbers did too, how odd that was. I do like the upper right button that closes boxes like those messages windows update pops up wanting to reboot. It added no plugins to Winamp or any other player and requires the app being controlled to be the one in focus, sort of like how JFW scripts do for applications. Hopefully someone made a real plugin so I can disable their software and control winamp more directly so converting wma to wav isn't necessary to get better skipping. - Original Message - From: Patrick Perdue [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Tuesday, August 01, 2006 4:32 AM Subject: Re[2]: How to extract sound from video files? Replay converter will do it. It's not free though. Gold Wave will also extract audio from AVI files, I'm not sure about the others. Bruce -- Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. Re: How to extract sound from video files?
I doubt it will do mpeg-2 video, which most of the stuff from TV tuner cards is as the cards provide hardware acceleration to encode directly to that format. I really hate Imtoo because I can't shush the progress unless a maximized IE window is in focus, only an IE window will do too, it seems, but I want Winamp in focus to use my remote control I got with my Snapstream package, which I think just sends arrow keys to Winamp when it's in focus. - Original Message - From: Allison Mervis [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: 'PC audio discussion list.
